About William
Since I started playing tabletops I've loved all the joy it brings people at a table. It's like going through a fantastical novel with a group of like-minded lovers of adventure! I've been GM-ing for about 10 years, and every session is worth the memorable experiences that I hope both I and my players receive.

I became a GM because
It was the best way to share stories with friends! "Forever GM" is a badge I wear with pride, in no small part thanks to my players' kind words about enjoying their experience.
I got started GMing...
...using the D&D 3.5 system. It was a dense system to get into with a lot of variety, and it got me into tabletop as a whole. Since then I've expanded my interests across many systems, and I'm delighted to find new ones to sink my creative teeth into as well as see what others have made.
How William runs games
I have been complimented on the variety in my encounters, both combat and role-playing. I like to make the worlds people go through feel as if they are full of opportunity. I'll be the first to admit I'm not the best at doing voices, but I do certainly try to make different characters sound and feel unique. Any aspect of a tabletop game that keeps the players interested tends to keep me interested as well, so I do my best to appeal to their aspirations for the game.

I deal with rules issues by...
...checking when its convenient, snapping to decisions when it helps move things along. Sometimes pouring through manuals makes it more about reading than playing!
Rules are...
...guidelines. I like to stick to the structure of a system, but fun comes first! I like to reward creativity from my players, especially if it works with a system instead of against it.
William's ideal table
My table is all-inclusive, and I try to treat my players like my friends no matter how long we've been playing together. We're all meant to be enjoying an experience together, so I hope to foster a table that's not only engaging but welcoming.

I love it when a player
...uses the environment or the world's lore to further their goals. Its equally my responsibility to provide those hooks for a team to exploit, but players taking the time to use details I've given them is euphoric.
