About me

I've been running D&D and various other RPGs for a little over 5 years, but have been playing since my mom introduced me to AD&D 2e years back- I've always had a knack for storytelling, and ever since I was little it's been a very comforting outlet, as well as one of my favorite hobbies! I didn't really know it back then, but all the make-believe games and stories I would make by myself, playing with wooden swords and spears in the backyard, would eventually turn into a ravenous need to create new worlds, and show them to anyone who might give them the time of day! I'm most comfortable with D&D 5e and 2e (though a bit rusty with 2e), but have been getting into Trudvang Chronicles and Old School Essentials lately as well. I've run homebrew campaigns, official pre-packaged adventures, tons of one-shots, and I even did some time running Adventurer's League at my FLGS. From simple treasure hunting hex-crawls, to narrative-driven plots, to saving the whole dang world, I've run a game of *almost* every scope by this point. So, tell me- What kind of hero do you wanna be?

GM Style

I generally like to encourage roleplay to whatever extent the campaign calls for. I love voicing every character and making the world feel lived in and unique, but I'm also just as comfortable running a completely non-serious game where all the dwarves have Brooklyn accents if that's the kind of thing my players want. I did take a Drama/Theater class or two going up, and I'm also a Leo, so regardless, you'll definitely get a bit of showmanship from me in any case. For the most part, I treat campaigns or longer form games with a little more seriousness in terms of things rules scrutiny, baseline note-taking and RP, while my one-shots tend to get a bit goofy, and are much more loose. Not that some of my campaign sessions haven't had their moments of unadulterated ridiculousness... Again, most of my style comes down to what the players want/need. I have no problem changing the level of crunch, the complexity of combat, or the level of seriousness at the behest of my players.
