About Sage Tommy

My name is Tommy and I love introducing players to new games and helping players feel more confident in their roleplaying! I cut my teeth on 3.5e in 2007, moved to Pathfinder 1e, then headed over to 5e before expanding my gaming consciousness to include Draw Steel, Traveller, Fate, and my own, homebrewed, rules super-light game, Kismet.

I got started GMing...

Technically in college; that's where I got my "awkward, first-timer" adventure out of the way. I'd say I came into my stride as a GM a few years later when I was working at a bookstore and met someone looking at RPG rulebooks. I pointed him towards Pathfinder, then offered to run it for him.

People are always surprised when I tell them

I homebrew everything for most of my games.

I once ran a session...

with 8 players, and they split the party, but we kept the action running at the same table.

Sage Tommy's ideal table

My table tends to lean heavily on roleplaying, even during combat. The vibe is usually relaxed, but things can get intense.
