About the adventure

The Magical Youth Academy of Scientific Study (MYASS) needs people for a discreet job. They offer high rewards for a day's work. You learn there have been a couple of disappearances whilst students are taking a number 2, the new waste disposal system is smelling bad. To make matters worse, the janitor has disappeared as well! Things are backing up literally; it's a dirty job but someone's got to do it. Are you that hero? You will need to find the missing people as priority 1 and restore things to working order. TYPE OF QUEST This is a comedy adventure with a serious undertone. So bring your light-hearted character to play and an attitude of humour. There are periods of roleplay in-between the action of battle and exploration TRIGGER WARNING: This adventure has a lot about excrement and biological waste. It gets gross.

About me

I specialise in running Dungeons and Dragons adventures and I like to inject a bit of humour into them all. I follow the nr1 rule that "D&D is about having fun!" I have been doing fantasy games all my life and love making stories for others to enjoy as much as I enjoy telling them. For my homebrew adventures I like to use popular cultural references in my games, (like a quiz) and crazy NPCs. I use Discord, Owlbear Rhodeo and Theatre of the mind with images to make the experience more immersive. Many of these are created as play-by-post adventures first. Then live games. I really like running Play-by-Post adventures

Had a lovely time playing a comedic one-shot with this GM, who allowed us to do silly things in a (mostly) silly adventure. There were some technical issues at the top (to be expected with DnD Beyond's alpha test of its VTT), but RG rolled with the punches and pivoted nicely to Theater of the Mind until the VTT came back on. Throughout, he kept things moving in this combat-heavy adventure, which I appreciated for two reasons: 1) combat in 5E can take a long time, even at lower levels, and 2) I'd been looking for a shorter game (2-3 hours) and this one delivered while still having a fully fleshed-out story. I quite enjoyed it!

Rule of cool is so prominent and player engagement is superior to most gms I have played with.

Really had a lot of fun with Robert! Was a hilarious one shot with some creative rat killing. He really makes it fun despite a minor technical setback.

An excellent storyteller, a fair and reasonable DM who kept the pace going. Engrossing NPCs, a fun quest with a variety of challenging locales, environments and combats.

As a newbie to RPG and never played PBP before - I really enjoyed this and had lots of fun! It was a really interesting and engaging story, well thought out and nicely written and Rob did a really good job of balancing letting us do our own crazy things/ role play and letting us know when things were moving ahead. The descriptions and directives were very clear and Rob was great at communication, offering help/ hints and answering questions and helping us with Discord etc too... 10/10 for patience! The puzzles and combat were challenging and intriguing, without feeling overwhelming and I loved all the interaction with NPCs - very uniquely written for each one and very immersive. 100% would recommend Rob as a DM and will hopefully join in on another of his adventures if I get chance. A great experience all around, Thanks again :)
