About me

Hi lads, lasses, and all ye besides! I’m Sam, I've been a DM for about 4 years, consumer of D&D shows for 8, and avid reader and artist for my life. I’m queer and AuDHD, and all of those identities are extremely welcome at my tables, as are any others. I intentionally take time to make each of my players feel safe, as well as endowing them with absurd amounts of creative agency. The only things not accepted or tolerated at my tables are bigotry, abuse, and anything that makes other players feel unsafe. Also, I’m an artificer in real life, which is the most fun way I can think of to say I make handmade TTRPG dice, character art, maps, and minis!

GM Style

The general feeling at my tables is “that’s not how that is supposed to work, but it’s cool, so we’re doing it.” Beyond that, each game is tailored to the players/characters, and PC world-building is encouraged. I adore teaching new players, and love weird and silly ideas. The settings tend to be allegorical and absurd, and I love doing character voices. My favorite magical item is the Rootin’ Tootin’ Hat of Hootin’ and Hollerin’, and I have previously given my players the Britney Spear and the Bag of Witholding. There are many puns, digressions, and absurdities, but mostly fun. I also have a fascination with pirates that will likely come out now and again.
