About Alexis
Hi! I’m Alexis, a lifelong fantasy enthusiast, storyteller, and dramatic overachiever since middle school drama class. I’ve always loved weaving stories, embodying characters, and diving headfirst into the chaos of improv. While it took me a long time to 'find my people', D&D has become my creative home. I have been GMing a long form Homebrew campaign for a couple of years and there is nothing I look forward to more than gathering around a table with people who want to tell a story together. I originally joined StartPlaying to experience the player side of the table, but quickly realized that my heart truly belongs behind the screen, steeped in worldbuilding, rich lore, and guiding players through epic, character-driven adventures. Most recently I’ve been crafting a series of homebrew one-shots inspired by the world and tropes of Romantasy and my goal is to bring that same blend of magic, drama, and humor to new tables of adventurers who want something both heartfelt and wildly fun. So, grab your dice and maybe a tissue because we’re going on an adventure you won’t forget.

When I’m not running games, I’m reading, writing, or cosplaying—because reality is wildly overrated.
How Alexis runs games
My GM style leans heavily into roleplaying and storytelling. I love to help players step into their characters and truly shape the world through their choices. While I enjoy running combat, battles in my games often take the form of creative challenges like heists, or cinematic set pieces where teamwork and imagination matter as much as dice rolls. My goal is to make every encounter feel like a memorable moment in a story, not just another round of initiative. Above all, I aim to create a collaborative and welcoming table where players feel comfortable expressing themselves, taking risks, and occasionally making wildly dramatic decisions for the sake of good storytelling.

If my games were movies, they’d be directed by Guillermo del Toro during his “melancholy fairy tale” phase, scored by Florence + the Machine, and starring a cast that cries beautifully in candlelight.

I prep by building worlds, writing far too much lore, and convincing myself I’ll actually use half of it.
Alexis's ideal table
My games are character-driven, story-rich, and emotionally immersive. I’m all about collaborative storytelling—building worlds with my players, not just for them. Expect deep roleplay, meaningful choices, and moments that stick with you long after the session ends. You’ll fit right in if you: -Love digging into your character’s personality, backstory, and relationships. -Enjoy a bit of drama, banter, and emotional investment. -Want your choices to matter and shape the story. -Appreciate cinematic storytelling more than grid maps and hit point math. If you’re looking for endless dungeon crawls or strict rules-lawyering... this probably isn’t your tavern. But if you want to explore a living world, laugh hard, maybe cry a little, and help weave something unforgettable—pull up a chair.

I love it when a player
I love it when a player dives headfirst into their character’s feelings, even when it gets messy, magical, or mildly unhinged.
