About Jordan
I am a graduate of Hastings College with a BA in Theatre and I. LOVE. STORYTELLING! I was always curious about D&D but never got the chance to play it until the D&D boom that happened in 2020. Since then, I have fallen in love with tabletop role-playing games. In 2022, one of my Game Masters heavily encouraged me to give running a game a shot because she thought I would be a good fit. Later that year, my college friend group decided to start a campaign together and I happily agreed to be the Dungeon Master. Over the course of around two and a half years, I ran the campaign, Dragon of Icespire Peak, until my players completed it in the spring of 2025. It was like no other game of Dragon of Icespire Peak, because we all put so much of ourselves into the game that it just completely became our own. For example, a few of the sessions we ended up going to a homebrew Elvin village called, Briony. It ended up becoming a highlight of the campaign and changed the course and tone of the rest of the story! I also have experience my own homebrew campaign and oneshots! I wholeheartedly believe in the healing power of role-playing games. They absolutely have the potential to be therapeutic, safe, cathartic environments where friends can get together, share laughs, heartbreaks, and engage in their own stories that can help give them the confidence, experiences, and self-efficacy needed to navigate life. I run games players carry with them.

People are always surprised when I tell them
I've only been playing D&D since the pandemic hit! My friends and players keep assuming I've been into TTRPGs for way longer, because I'm such a natural when it comes to this hobby (or so they say).
When I'm not running games I'm...
Playing video games, acting in theatre, voice acting, and hanging with friends! (Also working... boo.)
How Jordan runs games
I am definitely a story and role-play first, type of Game Master. If there is some sort of gameplay mechanic that sounds like it would be fun, interesting, or improve the story in some way then I am all for it! I love setting the stakes high for the players and making the narrative personal and meaningful for them. I treat all of my NPCs as their own persons, with their own emotions and motivations. I usually tweak and tailor NPCs to the players in some sort of way. I love allowing characters to affect each other and transform each other. I'm always searching for what the story arc is in the session and in the campaign overall. When I GM, I role-play characters that seem very one-note, but the emotional layers those characters start shedding over the sessions reveal whole melodies of personality that the players can harmonize and add to. I love respecting what my players want to do with their characters, then having the world react to their actions and give them consequences. I dislike punishing players but I make sure to let them know that in my games, you usually get out what you put into it (usually, sometimes the world is unfair). I've noticed that my particular brand of GMing is typically silly characters being put through emotional rollercoasters. If you want to laugh, cry, and cheer to stories like a Wererat named "Cheese Louise," learning to stand up for himself and his friends by leading a coup against his corrupt, abusive leader; then my games are for you!

My favorite trope is...
stories that start off pretty silly and then turn more and more dramatic as they go on.
My games focus on...
the world reacting to the players' actions and involving them in the story. They're typically role-play heavy with some sessions having a big focus on combat.
When it comes to voices
I pride myself on using a range of voices and accents to help players discern which characters are which, inform them of their character in a short amount of time, and help them stick out in their memories.
Jordan's ideal table
My ideal table are players that are willing to meet me halfway and immerse themselves into their characters, the world, and stories we create together! My tables are typically full of theatre nerds that I've tricked into becoming TTRPG nerds, muahaha! The vibes range from silly, to hanging out with friends, to dramatic heartbreak. The typical gameplay is roleplay heavy and combat heavy at times too.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
silly vibes that eventually turn into dramatic and/or traumatic moments for your player characters
I love it when a player
makes a choice that catches me off guard and causes me to think on my feet! It really helps the game be so much more interactive, and gives power to my players.
I think min/maxing...
gets a bad rep, actually. People assume that min/maxing is gross because they're supposedly sacrificing character and role-play for power, when both are absolutely possible at the same time. The game is built that way. Also there's nothing wrong with power gaming? We all play for different reasons!
