About Hiax

I love playing TTRPGs to the point, when it was getting hard to find someone to run a session I started to DM. I mainly DM D&D 5e and pathfinder but have played Warhammer Fantasy and a little bit of Daggerheart and would gladly run sessions for those as well. I enjoy teaching new players the ropes. I tend to try mix combat and roleplay, but open to whatever style my players want.

How Hiax runs games

Creates a balance of combat and roleplay, but tends to lean more towards RP since that's where my best memories have come from. Most important thing is that everyone is having fun so if the game rules and play style needs to change then so be it.

I deal with rules issues by...

If it's a player calling me out on a rule issue, I ensure I have it correct and if not adjust. If it's a player doing a rule incorrectly informing them politely about it. Once a decision is made, on a rule to make sure I stick with that ruling.

I prep by

either over planning weeks in advance or last minute prep because I got a new idea. Either way, music will be involved while doing so.

When it comes to voices

I make a solid effort. They may not be good, but you will hopefully get a laugh out of it. Love when players try to stick to a voice for a character.

Hiax's ideal table

Like to have an open and welcoming table. Love to have players that come with ideas and are up for trying new things. Also enjoy new players since they tend to have some of the most interesting and new ideas.
