About Goth Saturday (GM Molly)
HI! I'm Molly and I've been playing ttrpgs for over 20 years now (since I was a teenager!) I started with the release of D&D 3rd Edition and quickly fell in love with helping tables craft stories. After 10 years of running 5e (along with Pathfinder and VtM) I've gotten really into running indie and/or lesser known titles: Mork Borg, Coriolis, Sixth World, Liminal Horror, Cypher System...and so many more. I enjoy learning new systems and helping others to learn them through play, and providing opportunities for a table to come together and tell a collaborative story. I'd love to build a framework for you to tell a story in! My table is always queer and LGBTQ+ friendly.

People are always surprised when I tell them
How many weird careers I've had! I spend 20 years as a Stage Manager for professional theatre, as well as a lighting and sound designer. I've taught improv, managed an internship program, been a course coordinator for a medical school... Currently I'm managing the beverage program for a restaurant.
How Goth Saturday (GM Molly) runs games
I enjoy providing a framework for people to build their own stories! Creating obstacles and providing paths for people to overcome and explore. I create scaffolding, and play to discover what stories the table has to tell. I use my extensive experience working in and designing for theatre to create an immersive table. I GM like a stage manager, centering the players and tracking all the moving parts to find the most interesting beats. I will happily tailor a game to a tables desires, and I love teaching new players and introducing experienced ones to new games.

I deal with rules issues by...
Making a call in the moment so that play can continue and we don't get bogged down mid-session. Then afterwards I will read up on the rule and correct going forward if needed. I'm always willing to discuss rules/rulings with you, but I like to avoid causing the game to stall.
I once ran a session...
I ran a 14 session Cypher System game set in the underwater city Rapture from the BioShock series. There was a session 2 or 3 into the campaign where almost no dice were rolled, but it was the most engaging and tense session I've ever run. I'm still chasing that high :)
My games focus on...
Characters and crafting stories and worlds collaboratively.
Goth Saturday (GM Molly)'s ideal table
My ideal table is filled with people eager to work together to tell a story, who are just as excited by failure as success, and who aren't afraid to try something new!
