About Edgar

Pathfinder, Edge of the Empire, Fallout RPG, Shadow of the Demon Lord, and hopefully soon Draw Steel & Warhammer Fantasy Old World! All systems I dearly enjoy to run! From playing a one on one making jokes on the couch with a friend to playing with a group of my friends and making jokes over Fantasy Grounds. I've always love finding the joke in the moment through crazy circumstances and even crazier rolls. The crazy risks and the hilarious fails or successes. Not to mention a deep appreciation for some good brutal crunchy combat! Over 10 years of DMing experience starting back in highschool just one on one with my best friend to different groups and year long campaigns! Now I've turned to shorter sessions more episodic play and love a good narrative system. I enjoy sitting down and learning the mechanics of a new system with friends.

How Edgar runs games

Starting with PF1e I've always found an appreciation for brutal combat! High stakes shenanigans! And always the time to have a laugh. Keep it loose and fun! I definitely trend towards a more gloomy world and play, however its where I find heroes shine the brightest in the darkest of times!

in the darkest moments the greatest heroics arise. Heroes rise to the occasion when they are needed most! Adventurers are made heroes in these moments.

Rules are...

guidelines! Important, but flexible! They are the mechanisms in which we interact with the story! We need rules to know how we should try to move forward! But they are not all knowing nor perfect. And that is why it is a guideline.

If you enjoy making jokes over the tactical battlefield. Making friends with your fellow players! Having a laugh at the insanity that is the ever present re-rolling a roll but getting a lower roll nearly 80% of the time. I'm happy to offer that to you. Keep it light and keep it fun.

I think min/maxing...

a flaw of the system and not the players. Wanting to be powerful is not wrong at all. And I think the system should allow players to be powerful within the rules and flow of the game rather than the desire to roll a billion dice... But a billion dice is still fun.
