I am Jamie, recently began doing standup. I’m 36, and I’ve played DnD for about 14-15 years and DMed almost as long. I’ve been working on a homebrew setting for a long time, and have recently begun to compile it as a sourcebook. I run multiple systems, primarily 5e but I’ve got experience with pathfinder, cyberpunk,, mass effect and dragon age, and while I haven’t run them yet, I do also have Call of Cthulhu and Vampire the Masquerade.

How Shokora Valkyr runs games

I love roleplay, and favor settings that encourage creativity and teamwork. I like playing with perspective and adding challenges. I like a lot of exploration and combat is often challenging. I like fantasy and horror but because I know it can get dark and heavy, I also have comedic moments to ease that. I like to incorporate player stories into the world and give everyone a chance to shine. Additionally, I like dynamic settings where the world moves on and things happen regardless, but also that the players’ actions can have a tangible impact on the world, and threats can scale up depending on players as well.

Chill, low stress. I want you to feel welcome, and regardless of how long you spend at my table, I want you to feel like you can talk to me. Players who like to shine and feel heard are always welcome. Sometimes games get dark and heavy narratively, but I will add in bits to balance it out so it’s fun and interesting. Note takers are appreciated but not needed. I’m not too strict on that, I’ll try to recap and cover important details.
