About Nikki

Hi, I'm Nikki! I've always loved stories, and D&D is my favorite way to tell them. As a Dungeon Master, I love creating worlds that feel alive and giving players the chance to leave their mark on them. Some of my favorite moments at the table aren't the big boss fights (though those are fun too)—they're the unexpected conversations, the terrible plans that somehow work, the friendships that form between characters, and the moments that make everyone sit back and say, "Well... that changes everything." My games tend to be roleplay-heavy and character-focused. I want your choices to matter, your backstory to matter, and your character to feel like they're part of the world rather than just passing through it. Combat is absolutely part of the adventure, but the heart of my games is always the story we're building together. I love playing with both new and veteran players. If you're brand new to D&D, I'm happy to help you learn the rules and find your footing. If you've been playing for years, I'll give you plenty of opportunities to dive deep into your character and help shape the story. At my table, you can expect: Character-driven storytelling Lots of roleplay opportunities Memorable NPCs and worldbuilding Meaningful choices and consequences A welcoming, inclusive environment A healthy mix of humor, drama, mystery, and adventure

I got started GMing...

because one of my favorite campaigns needed a new GM, because ours had gotten a new job. It's a campaign at my local gaming store that is meant for femme/femme presenting players and is newbie friendly. That space is so important to me, I couldn't let it fizzle out!

My favorite system of all Time is

DnD 5e, but that might just be because it's the one I have the most experience with. I do love trying out smaller, indie systems, though!

When I'm not running games I'm...

either playing in 1 of the 3 campaigns I'm in as a player, creating pinterest boards for characters or working my full time job. OR cuddling with my cat Persephone, or my dog, Horace.

How Nikki runs games

If you're looking to tell a great story together, you'll probably fit right in at my table. My games lean heavily into roleplay, character development, and meaningful choices. I love tying character backstories into the world and creating moments where your decisions genuinely shape the direction of the story. Some of my favorite sessions have involved no combat at all—just players uncovering secrets, building relationships, making difficult choices, and completely changing my plans in the process (It's fine, it's fine....) That said, combat still has an important place in my games. When a fight happens, I want it to matter and I try to make combat feel like part of the story rather than an interruption to it. Players can expect: - Strong roleplay and character-focused storytelling - NPCs with their own goals, personalities, and relationships - Meaningful player choices and lasting consequences - Collaborative worldbuilding and plenty of opportunities to influence the setting - A balance of drama, humor, mystery, exploration, and adventure - Combat that serves the narrative and carries real stakes - A welcoming environment for both new and experienced players More than anything, I want players to feel invested in the world and the people in it. My goal isn't to tell a story on my own, it's to build one together where your choices matter.

Nikki's ideal table

My table is built around collaboration, creativity, and investment in the story we're creating together. The players who tend to have the best time in my games are the ones who get excited about their characters and the characters of everyone else at the table. If you love roleplaying conversations that have nothing to do with a quest objective, cheering for another player's big character moment, developing friendships and rivalries within the party, or discovering how your character changes over time, you'll probably feel right at home. The overall vibe is supportive, cooperative, and story-focused. I love emotional moments, found family dynamics, difficult choices, heartfelt victories, and the occasional devastating revelation. There will absolutely be laughs, ridiculous plans, and moments of complete chaos, but those moments hit even harder when they're surrounded by genuine character growth and meaningful relationships. I view D&D as collaborative storytelling rather than players versus DM. I'm not interested in "winning" against the party. My job is to present challenges, portray a living world, and help create memorable stories alongside my players. My games are a great fit for players who: - Enjoy roleplay as much as (or more than) combat - Like developing relationships with NPCs and fellow party members - Want their character's backstory and choices to matter - Enjoy teamwork and sharing the spotlight - Are invested in building a story together - Appreciate both emotional depth and moments of humor If your favorite D&D memories involve the conversations around the campfire, the friendships forged through adventure, the impossible choices, and the moments that leave the whole table feeling something, you'll fit in wonderfully here.
