About Kit

I'm Kit, head chef at Adventure Pantry and your humble game guide! I love storytelling, improvisation, and the thrill of collaborative chaos, so creating and running games is where I thrive. My one-shots are fast-paced, character-driven, and packed with humor, heart, and unexpected twists. Expect vibrant worlds, unforgettable NPCs, and challenges that reward creativity, clever thinking, and a willingness to get delightfully weird. Whether you're a seasoned adventurer or brand new to the table, my goal is to make every session immersive, engaging, and full of moments you’ll be talking about long after the dice stop rolling. As a nonbinary trans GM, I’m dedicated to creating an inclusive, welcoming space where every player can bring their full self to the game and shine!

I got started GMing...

when I saw other nonbinary, trans folks running the kinds of narratives and tables that I wanted to play at. I realized that I can do that, too!

My 3 systems I'd bring to a desert island would be

(at the moment) Roll for Shoes for ease of use, Daggerheart because it rules for narrative-forward roleplay, and Never Stop Blowing Up for excitement and silly action!

People are always surprised when I tell them

I used to be a professional chef but also directed a tech team in the Obama-era White House.

How Kit runs games

My GM style leans into narrative momentum and making space for players to be clever, chaotic, and silly. I love humor, lightness, and fun mischief whether it’s an over-the-top heist, a ridiculous social scheme, or a heartfelt moment of connection. I try my best to be a Goldilocks-style gm, by which I mean I keep things moving without making it feel rushed, I prioritize player agency while being a gentle guide when needed, and I make sure the world reacts in interesting ways while letting the dice tell the story. Also, I run unapologetically antifascist games where kindness is powerful, weirdness is celebrated, and punching up is encouraged.

My games focus on...

creating a balanced game of challenges+opportunities and/or silliness+heartfelt story to make my players feel happy they joined my table. What’s important to me is that we all get what we want from the experience. but that doesn’t necessarily mean my players always succeed! Failure can be fun!

Rules are...

useful as far as they help build the fiction and keep the game exciting and enjoyable for everyone. Laws are threats made by the dominant socioeconomic-ethnic group in a given nation. It’s just the promise of violence that’s enacted and the police are basically an occupying army. Know what I mean?

Kit's ideal table

My table favors inclusion, silliness, and escapist joy & wonder! If we're not laughing and gasping a majority of the time, I'm doing it wrong.

I love it when a player

tells me what they want from our time together! It helps me shape a session that fits them perfectly. I send a short pre-game questionnaire with useful prompts to make it easy to think through what kind of fun or story you want, even if you’re not totally sure from the start.

My table is not the place for...

folks who want to uphold or celebrate systems of oppression. We get enough of that in the real world. No thanks!
