About Hearthfire Society

We are The Hearthfire Society: a publishing and production company focused on creating professional level TTRPG experiences online and offline. We partner with a team of community artists, creators, and writers to give our players the high-end personalized experience often seen in podcasts, streams, and live events, to make these games and this community everything it is meant to be. Founded in the pandemic as a means to help out of work artist and writers find an outlet and income, we have expanded in the Appalachian and Pacific North West regions to bring our games back to the table where they belong. We now proudly offer multiple virtual tabletop experiences a day in all US time zones, and have built a massive network players and creators that we happily call our community.

My favorite books are

Terry Pratchett or Douglas Adams, I love the whimsical and nonsensical fantasy of their worlds.

How Hearthfire Society runs games

Detailed to a fault, I have been known to lose sleep over fantasy taxes for the sake of immersion. For combat I get down to the details, and believe that using the rules correctly is knowing how to improvise with them, to break the mold without stepping beyond the rules. Because of this, I'm always looking on how to engage characters in dynamic combat, and often finding new ways to introduce conflict and tension outside of combat to avoid a continuous sting of encounters. I mainly play in fully Homebrewed worlds, to ensure the experience for each player is authentic to a home-game around the table. It also allows me the pleasure of telling a new story with every group, and focus on the story they have to tell. My worlds are largely inspired by Myth and History, as I have a background in Classical History. Lastly, for Roleplay, my years of professional theatrical experience shine in fully realizing environments and characters, constructing scenes with music, visuals, and voices from the ground up!

Hearthfire Society's ideal table

My table is a hearth open to all with a call for adventure, and a safe space for LGBTQIA+ players!
