About the adventure
Greetings, operative! You have been selected for a heist of the highest priority: stealing a priceless gemstone from the Varkenbluff Museum of Natural History. This so-called "Murkmire Stone" is actually an eldritch creature's egg, and it's about to hatch—threatening not only visitors to the exhibit, but the whole region should the little horror get loose. Your quest, should you choose to accept it, is to infiltrate the museum, steal the egg, and deliver it to the Golden Vault's expert before it releases an eldritch horror. Do you have what it takes to recover this terrifying artifact in time? This first-level Keys from the Golden Vault adventure sends your team of thieves and scoundrels into a high-end museum on opening night to steal a priceless artifact before it looses a monster beyond comprehension. You'll get to study blueprints, plan your approach, and pivot on a dime when things go wrong, just like a proper thieving crew—and you'll get to do it at a fancy gala. Will you successfully steal the prize, will you get caught, or will someone else get to it first?

How to prepare
Playing at my table is simple! You'll need a microphone and a webcam, a free account on D&D Beyond and Roll20, and Discord. You can find campaign links for D&D Beyond and Roll20 on my Discord server. If you have character art you'd like to use to represent your character on our Roll20 virtual tabletop, send it my way and I'll set that up for you.
What I provide
⟢ No dice? No problem! My Discord server has a digital dice tray brimming with RNG dice, and you are always welcome to use D&D Beyond's virtual dice instead. ⟢ I have pre-generated character sheets ready for use—all you have to do is ask! ⟢ All sessions include ambient music streamed through Discord. ⟢ All my owned content on D&D Beyond is available to characters built using our campaign link. The library is too extensive to list here, and if you absolutely need a race, class, or spell I don't have, I'm happy to pick it up.
Gameplay details
Safety Tools ⟢ Since this is a oneshot, we will not take the time to review Lines and Veils. However, if you have concerns about a particular phobia or trigger, you are welcome to send me a direct message so we can work through the next steps together. ⟢ Open Door: If you need to step out for a few minutes for a mental health break or to resolve a real-life issue, you are welcome to do so. ⟢ Breaks: We'll take a ten-minute break near the middle of every session.

How will character creation work
This heist is for level 1 adventurers. We will use D&D Beyond for character creation and combat tracking. You can use our campaign link to upload a character you've already created, roll a new character using my shared compendium, or even snatch up a pre-generated character who's all geared up and ready to go! We will not go over character creation during the session, so if you need help building your character, please let me know in advance so I can walk you through it.
