    About the adventure

Humans died generations ago when the bombs were dropped trying to fend off the undead horde. Us survivors have inherited the Earth and have been changed by the radiation and the world that we now live in. We have survived in the area known as Rust Coast where the winters bite deep into the bones worse than any Zed, the wild lands have been filled with creatures as far back as anyone can remember, supposedly even during the time of Humans. The cross roads has allowed for us to trade and keep information thanks to what the humans called I's and Y's, but just as we flourish others wish to see us destroyed. The noises bring Zeds and other creatures, and then of course the Gravemind is always hungry for more. You are a survivor in the apocalypse, radiation, zombies, and raiders are all threats that are real. Not to mention trying to find food and water so you don't die in the wasteland. Will you be a survivor trying to see what the waste has available or stay in the safety of towns. This game is designed to focus on the story of survivors whether for the better or worse. A character in this game is from a lineage that is what has replaced humanity, which is an odd combination of human and zombie. They are similar to races in D&D, they do have a lineage weakness like colorblindness, aversion to the sun, or need to drink blood to eat. However, these individuals try and work together to survive in this new world. I try to run these games as a base of operation and deal with just trying to make a town survive in such inhospitable environment. However, if the group wants to try and explore the dangerous wasteland I am more than willing to do this.

    Additional Details

    How to prepare

A player will need a mic at least, webcam is not required, discord downloaded, their own dice if they wish or to use my dice roller on discord. A player does not have to have a thorough understanding of the rules, but needs to have a bit of imagination and willing to learn the rules as we play. A player does need to have a character sheet for themselves, but doesn't need to resubmit one when leveling up.

    What I provide

I will bring the rule book, a discord to interact in, and a plot to hunt down.

    Gameplay details

Dystopia Rising Evolution uses the storypath system which requires the players to roll 10- sided equal to an attribute and skill to succeed at tests. Any dice over 8 is considered a success, but if the roll comes up with no successes then the roll is a failure, but if a character fails they usually achieve the goal with a complication. Though there are conditions that could influence rolls as well as how characters react to certain events or beings. A usual session will be centered around a current problem, whether that is simply trying to get food for yourself or trying to achieve peace between two towns at odds with one another, this is even further complicated by the character's personal touches and motivations. Safety Tools: I use two major safety tools, X card and lines and veils, with weekly check ins. The X card can be used at any point if a participant is uncomfortable with the content happening in-game. When the X card is used by tapping the card or typing an “X” in the chat, the group can change, rewind, or skip the content. Lines: are subjects that are never brought up or into the game, any player may add to the list. The current lines are: Sexual Assault of any kind. Veils: are subjects that are alluded to but never directly brought up or into the game, any player may add to this list as well. The current veils are: domestic abuse. Weekly Check Ins: is where I ask the group before each game if there is any Lines or Veils that the players would like to add to the list whether on a permanent basis or temporarily considering life happens and we are not fully active in each other's life.

      How will character creation work

The system does not have a level system in the normal sense, but characters will be considered beginners. If players wish to pre-make characters it would be appreciated, but needs to be confirmed by me. There will be pre-generated characters available, but I will assist in character creation if desired and there is time before the game.

      Players can expect

      • Combat/Tactics: Medium
      • Roleplay: High
      • Puzzles: Low
