    About the adventure

This is a short campaign (3-4 sessions) for players brand new to playing D&D. From character creation and learning to use a virtual table top (VTT), this campaign is very beginner friendly. No preparation is needed as the first game will be focused on character creation, discussion of themes and safety tools. From there we will ease into actual playing. For this campaign we will stay within the bounds of the basic Player's Handbook to keep it simple and easy for newcomers to D&D and table top RPGs. The setting is entirely home brewed (written by myself) so players will not need to read through existing novels, adventures, or setting books and can come without any prior preparation to the character creation session. The world is set in a typical Western fantasy setting (think European style fantasy setting). I strongly encourage players to indulge in role playing, both between each other as well as NPCs (non-player characters) while delving in and explore the town and surrounding countryside. However I can tailor this experience to more combat oriented adventures as needed. As everyone is new to playing, we can take things a little slower to address any questions and explain events, rules and other aspects of the game as needed. Please feel free to reach out to me if you have any questions, requests or concerns. $10/player for new players to D&D. My games usually run $20/player per session

    How to prepare

Since this is an online game, having a microphone is necessary however with Zoom you can achieve this with your cellphone in the worst case scenario. For Roll20 access,, players will need to provide an email address so they can be invited to the virtual table top. If players already know what type of character they would like to build and have an image for them, please submit the image at least 48 hours before the session so it can be added to the virtual table top as a token. Players can create a free account on D&D Beyond to assist with character creation or use the templates in Roll20, however if they prefer pen and paper this can be accommodated. Physical dice are optional as Roll20 provides digital rollers.

    What I provide

For this beginners campaign, players may take with them any of the materials that are provided during each session. Additional items may be requested but may be an additional cost. Please contact me if you have any specific requests or needs.

    Gameplay Details

Sessions may be a bit slower as we may need to take some time to explain how the game works and answer questions. Games will always include safety tools like 'Lines & Veils' and the X-Card system. Players will determine during the first session what type of adventure they would like to experience.

    How will character creation work

As everyone is new, it's best to make characters all together. Not everyone will have access to printed copies of the materials so we can all build them together from the basic source materials during the first session.

    Players can expect

    • Combat/Tactics: Low
    • Roleplay: Medium
    • Puzzles: Low
    • Experience Level: Beginner
