About the adventure
This game is for a group of adventurers who love exploring, solving puzzles, slaying monsters, saving the day, and, of course, earning some coin for their efforts. The world is set in a land that finds itself relying heavily on adventurers after losing all connections to the outside world due to a devastating natural disaster. The catastrophe began with a massive earthquake that caused the city of Zobeck to sink deeper into the ground, cutting it off from the outside world. Roads were destroyed, animals grew too frightened to venture near, and the once-thriving city was left isolated. The reasons behind this disaster remain unknown, and the solutions are just as unclear. Your journey begins in a humble tavern within this unfortunate city. For better or worse, you've found yourself here, surrounded by uncertainty and countless adventures waiting to be uncovered. Will you discover the cause of the earthquake that isolated Zobeck? Will you save the day, freeing everyone trapped in this forgotten place, and uncover its secrets? Join me now to begin this thrilling adventure! 🎲✨

Meet the Game Master
About me
I've been playing D&D for 4 years and DMing for nearly as long, mainly hosting games online. I started with a small group of friends, and as more people joined, my passion for storytelling grew. Now, I run immersive campaigns where player choices and actions shape the world around them. The adventures we create together leave lasting impacts on the story and the game world. When you play at my table, it’s a shared experience. I love crafting stories where your character’s journey matters, and you leave the game excited and ready for the next session. New players are always welcome, and I’ll guide you through with patience. For veterans, I create unique challenges and homebrew content to keep things fresh. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions!

Creating your character
We’ll begin at Level 3 with average HP rolls. All official content is allowed, including races, classes, and backgrounds from official D&D books. For backstories, we’ll work through them together during Session Zero to ensure that your character fits into the world and the narrative. This collaborative session will help us align character motivations, relationships, and any personal story arcs with the campaign’s direction. We will be using Roll20 for gameplay, but you can also use D&D Beyond for character management. Homebrew content is allowed, but please make sure to run it by me first for approval. For stats, we will be using the Point Buy system to ensure balanced characters.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
To join the game, players will need a mic for communication, as we will be using Discord for voice chat. Please ensure you have a free Roll20 account set up for the virtual tabletop, as we'll be using it for gameplay. Character creation will take place during Session Zero, so there’s no need to prepare a character beforehand. However, it’s helpful to familiarize yourself with the Point Buy system for stats and the official content available for races, classes, and backgrounds.

Safety
How ash creates a safe table
We will use safety tools including: Lines and Veils Document: Before our first session, I’ll provide a link to a shared document outlining our “Lines” (themes or content we’ll avoid entirely) and “Veils” (content we can reference lightly but won’t detail). This will give everyone a chance to voice any preferences and boundaries. Session 0: During Session 0, we’ll discuss character creation, backstories, party dynamics, and gameplay expectations. We’ll also go over the safety tools in more depth, ensuring each player knows how to use them to tailor the experience to their comfort level. Aftercare: After intense or heavy sessions, we’ll have a short debrief to check in and address any discomfort or concerns. Players are always welcome to reach out privately if there’s something they’d like to discuss further. Gameplay Details: This campaign emphasizes cooperative storytelling, giving players plenty of opportunities for exploration, combat, and role-play. Whether you're driven by the promise of treasure or the call to protect Phandalin from lurking dangers, your choices will shape the frontier and your legacy within it.
