About the adventure

From the endless depths of the Sea of Moving Ice to the imposing heights of the Reghed Glacier, the Dale is in grave danger! Auril the Frostmaiden has plunged the land into an eternal winter, and only you can stop her. Ancient secrets, hidden forces, and foul creatures haunt the darkness inflicted by Auril, and you must navigate your way through the clandestine perils of Icewind Dale if you plan to save the Ten Towns. This campaign will take players from level 1 to level 12. No prior knowledge of the setting is needed, nor is any significant experience with the game.

How to prepare

All that you as players need to bring are: - A Discord Account. - A microphone and headset. - Some way to roll dice (Online rollers or physical dice are perfectly fine.) - Any snacks or drinks you want. - A can-do attitude.

What I provide

- The campaign itself. - Access to the Core rules book and the various character classes and species. - A Discord Server. - Art for the various NPCs you encounter.

Gameplay details

This game will include a session 0 where I'll help you build your characters if you need any assistance, and we as a group can express our Lines and Veils. Rime of the Frostmaiden is a campaign with a greater emphasis on exploration and survival than most other 5E modules, although there are plenty of engaging NPCs to interact with and challenging monsters to battle.

How will character creation work

During session 0 I'll take any players who are new to the system through every stage of character creation, answering any questions that arise and offering advice as we go. Feel free to take your time and you won't have to have finished everything by the end of the session. I'll be perfectly happy to answer any question you have between session 0 and session 1 as well. You can decide as a group if you want to use Standard Array, Point Buy, or roll for your stats. Any published content is acceptable, as well as most UA, although homebrew will require approval, so that everyone's characters are of a similar power.

Players can expect

• Find a game to join solo or search for a professional game master for you and your friends/coworkers/family.
• Book your session and wait for the Game Master to approve you.
• If you don't have a blast with your first game, your next game is on us.
