About Ina
Hi there, adventurer! I’m Ina, a Dungeon Master with over 8 years of experience weaving stories, running thrilling encounters, and building compelling worlds. I’ve run everything from fast-paced one-shots to a three-year Neverwinter campaign as well as several official modules from Wizards of the Coast, such as Curse of Strahd, Out of the Abyss, Icewind Dale: Rime of the Frostmaiden, and I currently run several ongoing adventures on StartPlaying, such as Waterdeep Dragon Heist, Tyranny of Dragons, and a homebrew campaign in the world of Exandria. At my table, you’ll find a welcoming, inclusive environment where roleplay, exploration, and combat each get their chance to shine. I love adding personal touches to published modules, designing unique homebrew items, and tailoring each campaign so that every player feels like a vital part of the story. Some of my favourite shows and literature I draw inspiration from are Critical Role and Dimension 20, and iconic fantasy literature like LOTR, Dracula, Frankenstein, and The Call of Cthulhu. My goal is to create a space where players can laugh, roleplay, fight epic battles, and tell stories together that they’ll remember long after the story ends. If I am the kind of DM you are looking for, I’d love to welcome you to the table. ⚔️Grab your dice and join the adventure!

When I'm not running games I'm...
I'm working on my book, watching anime, playing video-games and spending time with my loved ones.
How Ina runs games
My GM style strikes a balance between role-play, exploration, and combat, ensuring an engaging experience for everyone. At my table I utilize battle maps and artistic visuals not only to enhance the atmosphere and tell a story but also as tools that players can use to tactically maneuver the battlefield. I have a deep passion for role-playing and actively encourage all players to immerse themselves in their characters throughout our adventures. Expect a well-rounded mix of: Combat: ⚔️⚔️⚔️⚔️ Exploration: 🗺️🗺️🗺️ Social Interactions: 🗨🗨🗨🗨 Puzzles: 🧠🧠🧠 As a player, you can look forward to: • Diverse and engaging NPCs to interact with. • A curated selection of sounds and music tailored for each moment. • Challenging and fun combat encounters. • Unique homebrew monsters and magical items. • A welcoming and safe environment for all players, whether you are experienced or a newcomer. Feel free to reach out for any questions regarding the campaign, rules, or anything else. To ensure everyone's comfort, I will provide consent forms for all players to complete before our journey begins, so we can create a safe and inclusive space for everyone. I follow rules as written quite closely, but make exceptions when a great storytelling opportunity presents itself, so don't hesitate to ask if you can do something. Fudging dice rolls is out of the question because I believe it affects not only the integrity of the game but also the suspension of disbelief and player agency. Overall, I want to create a fun game for everyone involved and give each player the time and opportunity to explore their character and tell a great story.

If my games were Movies they'd be directed by...
by Guillermo del Toro for the depth of lore and haunting beauty, Peter Jackson for the epic stakes and emotional journeys, and Matthew Vaughn for stylish combat and memorable villains.
My games focus on...
collaborative storytelling, engaging and challenging encounters, and a world filled with memorable NPCs and compelling villains.
Rules are...
the foundation of the game. They provide structure and fairness, but I’m flexible when it serves the story or enhances the fun at the table.
Ina's ideal table
My table is a collaborative, story-driven space where both character and player engagement are at the heart of the game. I encourage players to pursue personal goals and backstory arcs, all while working together to create a shared narrative. Expect a story that challenges your character, hits multiple emotional beats, and is shaped by your decisions. I value creativity, communication, and collaborative storytelling. You’ll enjoy my table if you are: Engaged & Active: You love being part of the story, thinking about your character between sessions, and helping move the adventure forward. Balanced: You enjoy both in-character drama and dynamic combat, and can flow between the two with ease. Communicative: You’re comfortable sharing ideas, asking questions, and giving feedback to help everyone have fun. Respectful & Supportive: You treat fellow players with kindness, celebrate their spotlight moments, and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment. Team-Oriented: Even if your character has flaws or personal goals, you as a player can maintain party cohesion and contribute to the group’s story and goals.

I think it's a red flag when players...
disregard the group dynamic, constantly try to steal the spotlight at the expense of others, try to dictate the way the game should be played, and treat the game like a competition instead of a collaborative storytelling experience.
I think metagaming...
undermines the integrity of the story and the immersion of everyone at the table. While some slip-ups happen, I expect players to stay in character. Keeping character knowledge and player knowledge separate is essential to making choices feel authentic and impactful for everyone at the table.
My perfect party mix is
a group of thoughtful, creative players who are as excited about character development and roleplay as they are about tactical combat and story progression.
