That is how Wizards of the Coast describes this adventure, and it is one hell of a pitch, isn't it? My personal opinion is that Rime of the Frostmaiden is a great adventure and just about everything I want from RPG. High-stakes, great environment, loads of NPCs with interesting and unique backstories and motivations, tactical fights and monsters... So yeah, what else could you hope for? Maybe a fun DM with a french accent?

Having played with Slimmy for years now, he is undoubtedly one of the best GMs out there. His acting background comes into play to help him bring NPCs to life in all the best way, while he weaves narration and game mechanics to bring the "roleplaying" and "game" together in a terrific fashion. I would strongly recommend him to anyone after a game featuring an active and reactive world rich with consequences to the players' actions.
Character creation
Creating your character
Roll20 ! Pre-generated characters available, but I'll accompany you every step of the way in character creation during session 0 if you want to make your own. And even those pre-generated characters will only have stats, you can still choose their appearance, name, etc... Any character options found in official, first-party D&D 5e books published by Wizards of the Coast are allowed. The following third-party content is used and the Roll20 will contain little handouts that summarize the rules and options added by third-party material : - Armorer's Handbook - Creature Codex and Tome of Beasts 1 and 2 (Those just add more monsters, so don't worry about it) (Well actually, worry about it, those monsters are beefy) - Dump Stat Adventure's "Making Tools Useful in 5e" series The stats will be chosen with either the point buy method or standard array.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need to have an account on Roll20.net to play and have the app Discord installed on their computer for voice. Since voice is required players will need a mic. Players are not required to use a webcam for video in Discord but they can use one if they want. All dice rolls will be done in Roll20 so dice are not required.
