    How to prepare

Having access to Zoom is essential. You don't need to use your webcam if you don't want to, but we'll need to hear your voice. Maps and images will be on-screen, so a good screen size is going to help. Beginners to DCC are welcome, and characters can be provided. Standard polyhedral dice are useful and you can roll at home on the honor system. If you have an online dice roller you prefer, you may use that.

    What I provide

Not a physically face-to-face game, but the PDF of handout characters can be kept and used in other games.

    Gameplay details

Most mechanics are basic d20-style: roll a die, add a modifier, try to beat a number. Action and weirdness begins early and keeps going. Combat tends to be brief (no hour-long fights). I will lean the way you do; if you want a game that's more lighthearted, more beer-and-pretzels-y, I can accommodate that -- want something more immersive and serious? I can do that, too.

    How will character creation work

I will make handout characters available. If you have already prepared characters that's fine, too. The exact Level we play will be somewhat driven by how many players we get, but should be about 2nd Level.

    Players can expect

    • Combat/Tactics: Medium
    • Roleplay: Medium
    • Puzzles: Low
    • Experience Level: None
