As a game rooted in storytelling and imagination, the Dungeons & Dragons community attracts some of the most creative and unique personalities worldwide. Many of these creators take to the internet to share their experiences with D&D on social media in the form of skits, guides, commentary, and more. Providing valuable insight into the game, keeping fans updated on D&D news, creating awe-inspiring cosplays, and poking fun at relatable moments at the table; this is only a fraction of what these creators have to offer. While you may eventually find them scrolling your FYP or in your recommended feeds, this non-exhaustive list aims to shine a spotlight on many folks in the community who have earned your likes and follows.

The Big List

Matthew Colville - Colville is a YouTuber for the Forever DM and the First Time DM alike. His extremely popular ‘Running the Game’ series is an excellent resource for any DM looking to elevate their game, learn more about the craft, or dive deeper into the mechanics of worldbuilding. As his channel has evolved, he now tells stories of what it was like to play D&D back in the early days of TTRPGs, and discusses the RPG he and his team created, Draw Steel.

Run_DMG - This D&D skit creator balances his unhinged ideas as a player with his vast experience as a DM to imagine realistic yet chaotic situations for fans. His most viral TikToks include depicting scenarios such as ‘Explaining the D&D Group Chat to the FBI,’ ‘Punishing Dice for Rolling Poorly,’ and recontextualizing movie clips into (sometimes painfully) relatable and hilarious D&D memes. On YouTube, Ryan’s prowess as a DM shines through, creating long-form content to coach DMs on how to make better BBEGs and introduce players to easy-to-learn TTRPGs besides D&D. On top of this, he frequently partners with charities like Doctors Without Borders, utilizing his platform to raise money for great causes.

HowdyLoveDarlin - Meadow of HowdyLoveDarlin is a professional DM and TTRPG personality who has been featured on over a dozen Actual Play series, on both sides of the screen, for over four years. She is also a skilled cosplayer and regularly posts D&D skits on TikTok, often citing the many incredible shows she’s been a part of.

Tales Arcane - An absolute treasure trove of tips, plot hooks, homebrew ideas, and inspiration for DMs, Tales Arcane’s content not only makes DMs lives easier, but can be injected into their games to elevate mundane game elements, challenge players with fascinating monsters, and add new mechanics to expand the player experience. He’s developed systems for running D&D in a university setting, written checklists for the perfect Session Zero, guides to immersively depicting extraplanar D&D worlds, and more. His frequent uploads mean there’s always something new for DMs to look forward to learning. Moreover, he’s published several books worth of homebrew content on his Patreon, putting his DMing advice into practice on the page.

Mr. Shickadance - No, Ace Ventura’s landlord is not a D&D content creator, but the man who adopted the name, Sean, certainly is! Mr. Shickadance’s content is primarily short-form D&D skits, and he also DM’s an excellent magical mystery Actual Play called “Chaos Theory,” featuring players who are also creators in the TTRPG space. Witty, creative, and powerfully descriptive, Sean’s storytelling skills make his videos hilarious and his campaigns enthralling.

dndaisies - Creating TTRPG skits since 2021, DnDaisies’ content has evolved a lot over the years, but having fun playing games has always remained at the core of her content. As a trans creator, she strives to cultivate a space for trans joy in the TTRPG space, authoring her campaigns to be as inclusive and diverse as possible, and teaching fans how to do the same. She’s best known for her Bard-centric D&D skits and plans to release a comedy series on YouTube titled “Transitions.” She’s also the founder and artist behind DesignsByOopsieDaisy, an independent business offering D&D-related designs on inclusively sized clothing, phone cases, mugs, and more.

Mayor Lovecraft - The ‘Mayor’ in his username isn’t just for show, the mind behind this channel, Leeman Kessler, is the actual mayor of Gambier, Ohio. Outside of his municipal day job, he gained popularity as an H.P. Lovecraft impersonator online, answering viewer-submitted questions in-character in his series “Ask Lovecraft.” Now, he shares his thoughts on current events from political and nerd spheres alike, appearing on podcasts like Really Dicey to teach audiences on how to best run urban horror TTRPGs such as Blades in the Dark, Night City, and, aptly, The Trail of Cthulhu.

RecoveringAcademic - Cosplay, comedy, and captivation, Forrest of RecoveringAcademic dedicates her page to her passion for enjoying D&D content, cosplaying characters from Critical Role’s ‘Vox Machina,’ and creating D&D content, like sketches and highlights from the Actual Plays she stars in. Cementing her talent in one-shots such as New Age Geeks’ “Ikigai: One Tiny Life” and Panic Table’s “Hold On Spider-Monkey,” her skill as a player is best seen in the ongoing campaign “The Order of Narvosc,” DM’d by Elimenop3.

TallNerdApollo - Apollo is a multi-talented creator, streamer, and cosplayer making D&D content while based in Ireland. He shares his experience as a DM and player on Actual Plays such as Hearthfire Tales and the award-winning D8 Dungeon. Moreover, he’s constructed highly accurate cosplays of characters such as Baldur’s Gate 3’s ‘Wyll,’ and aptly, ‘Apollo’ from Hades II.  His next project is the upcoming ‘Mics and Mimics’ AP.

ZachTheBold - Known for his high-quality D&D shorts, Zach recreates common experiences players have at the table in hilarious and dramatic ways. He turns moments like ‘When You Forget Your Backstory’ or ‘Overhearing Your DM’s Prep’ into over-the-top but ultimately true-to-life mini movies. His prowess as a player positions him in many Actual Plays, including Mr. Shickadee’s ongoing “Chaos Theory” and the charity event Roleplay Relay. Recently, he was featured on Critical Role’s ‘Suikoden One-Shot,’ alongside other guests Arin Hansen and Zeno Robinson.

WizardInATShirt - WizardInATShirt’s content tells horror stories of problem players and frustrating situations TTRPG players may have the misfortune of encountering while trying to have fun with the game. His shorts primarily utilize silly filters and face-stretching effects to poke fun at these otherwise unbearable moments at the table. Although these depictions can often be unflattering or polarizing, they effectively discourage toxic behavior by showing players how not to act at the table.

ObsidianBrews - Founded by four BIPOC creators in the TTRPG scene, bendydinosaurs, tranquilashes, maddrrob, and rezmonkwalker, the goal of ObsidianBrews is to create a necessary space for Black Creators in the world of TTRPGs. Their content showcases and celebrates Black Excellence, streaming series like ‘Monday Maps’ with talented RPG map maker MadDrRob on Twitch/YouTube, and the Actual Plays “Part-Time Gods” and “Mercs 2099,” featuring incredible performances from an all-BIPOC cast. At their convention appearances, they’ve hosted events such as ‘Welcoming Diversity at Your Table,’ ‘How Important is a Session Zero,’ and ‘It’s All in the Game.’ ObsidianBrews has made great strides in promoting Black voices in the TTRPG community, and continues to prove the need and benefit of organizations like itself.

Krisfire98 - From Clerics settling insurance claims with Insurance Warlocks in ‘Conditional Heals’ to the unhinged tales from the table in her ‘Squallin’ Saga, Kristal’s D&D comedy skits are chaoticly creative and endlessly funny. Her TikTok is home to these great series and more, answering TTRPG questions, dissecting D&D hypotheticals, and reviewing criminally underrated TTRPGs separate from D&D. On YouTube, they’ve created intuitive guides for Avatar Legends, a TTRPG set in the “Avatar: The Last Airbender” universe.

Smoking Glue Guns - This channel is a Dice Goblin’s dream. Whitney, the mind and craftsperson behind Smoking Glue Guns, shows off her ever-growing selection of increasingly impressive and interesting dice that can be purchased at her website or at one of the many cons she attends. Her hand-crafted custom dice include d20s with pop-culture inspired designs, stained-glass effects, a set based on Marvel’s Infinity Stones, and much more.

The Church of Doom - Landon “Father Doom” Guss of the self-proclaimed “most zealous TTRPG cult on the internet” does not preach of the oncoming apocalypse, but is certainly the herald of end times for boring campaigns. Across TikTok and YouTube, Guss delivers nuanced, custom-made homebrew content for DMs to implement into their home games. In true cult leader fashion, he’ll often present these ideas from behind a podium beside a bespoke PowerPoint. From original potions for Hags to brew to uniquely powerful magic swords, many of the lists in his videos have been included in or are drawn from his non-D&D-exclusive homebrew expansion book “Monster Psalms,” which contains 160 collections of comprehensive lore, ability, loot, etc. tables and creature archetypes that can be adapted to fit most any TTRPG.

NerdImmersion - Ted’s channel name is no misnomer; if you want to get truly immersed in all things D&D nerdy, this is the channel for you. Since 2014, Ted of NerdImmersion has kept his community updated on all things D&D, created Top 10 Lists for nearly every imaginable aspect of D&D, suggested fixes to D&D mechanics he disagrees with, and endlessly discussed various other D&D topics. If that wasn’t enough NerdImmersion, on his second channel, NerdImmersionPlays, features the Actual Plays he expertly DMs, most recently wrapping up a Phandelver & Below Module, “The Shattered Obelisk.” Ted has been in the loop of D&D-related news for over a decade and is many folks' main source of information for updates in the space.

Denkles - Initially gaining popularity for his musical D&D content, D&D flavored parodies, original songs, and bard-related skits, Denkles combines his passion for music production and TTRPGs in all the best ways. Beyond his hit D&D parodies of “Shake it Off,” “RNP,” and “Edamame,” Denkles makes more than music, starring as Seth Wake in the Pokemon TTRPG Actual Play “Unbeatable Cast,” exploring the Kanto region on a quest to beat the gyms, thwart evil, and strengthen their Pokemon companions.

SwoleInitiative - Jay Foster of the Swole Initiative Network shatters the stereotype of what your traditional TTRPG lover “should” look like. As both a strength & conditioning coach and a professional DM, Foster’s page is full of practical DM advice, masterfully edited D&D memes, and memorable moments from the Actual Plays streamed live on Twitch. His ‘Swole Initiative Network’ consists of himself and fellow TTRPG enthusiasts who share these channels, streaming APs such as ‘Coven Craft’, and posting full campaigns like a Call of Cthulhu game, “Hollow.” SwoleInitiative demonstrates that anyone can come to love and play D&D, and the Network showcases players that further prove this point in its compelling, captivating content.

Power Word Spill - The host of Power Word Spill, Kelly, has built this channel around providing resources for DMs and Players that can greatly enhance the roleplay, quality of life, and overall experience at a TTRPG table. Having created and curated dozens of videos recommending free and helpful software for D&D, campaign/encounter advice, and guides on crafting and adding props to a game, Power Word Spill is a great channel to learn about the game you already love. Kelly’s suggestions and insights often take the form of ranked lists, organizational charts, and tutorials. In videos typically under 20 minutes long, players taking Power Word Spill’s ideas to heart will see their game experience improve with each video they watch.

Maddaloon - Maddie’s videos capture many moments we experience while playing D&D in beautifully bite-sized ways. Her shorts are told from both the player and DM perspectives, bringing her own comedic twist to the table. She imagines what it would be like if there were a Ranger with the curiosity of Steve Irwin; she reminds us of how silly we feel when we’re consistently rolling low, and she makes us laugh the whole way through. Maddie is currently DMing an original AP called ‘Chains of Asmodeus’ (featuring the aforementioned TallNerdApollo!), which follows a party of powerful heroes traversing the treacherous Nine Hells.

Gals & Goblins - Taking a looser approach to D&D, GM Jared Voswinkel and the ‘Gals,’ Lilly Percifield, Maddy Lamb, Campbell Duffy, and Olivia Rose McCain, star in this ‘cool first, rules second’ storytelling Actual Play podcast set in the whimsical and fantastic realm of Eldrivale. Alongside their professionally edited episodes and talk-back series, the ‘Gals’ also create YouTube shorts, posting the best clips from their show, cosplay, and funny moments from behind the scenes. Channeling that goblin energy, these videos are chaotic, fast, and wild, but always fun to watch.

Arlentric - This Australia-based creator keeps the D&D community informed and entertained with his mix of D&D news, skits, and tips videos. On TikTok, he primarily posts comedy sketches shot at scenes from the table, roleplaying as both the player and the DM in whimsical yet familiar situations; dealing with misleadingly worded magic items, being underprepared behind the DM screen, players trying to make their characters Phineas and Ferb. On YouTube, his long-form content keeps D&D fans informed about changes as the game evolves, especially D&D 2024, and gives his opinion about underrated spells, homebrew classes, D&D puzzles, and more. He’s also made some longer D&D skits, mostly centered on applying the absurd D&D logic to real life, or vice versa, to hilarious results.

Scene_four - Sean Foer is an endlessly passionate TTRPG lover who graciously shares that passion with the internet. Keeping up to date with new and exciting TTRPG releases, finding and promoting underrated games, and offering guidance to players and DMs seeking more engaging roleplay or better-balanced encounters, the scene_four channel is made by a TTRPG fan for TTRPG fans. With a background in game design, he has recently poured his game knowledge and experience into an adventure scenario for Outrider Creative’s “Perils and Princesses” titled “The Secret of the Night Market,” depicting a vibrant, mysterious (and potentially dangerous) market for the princesses to explore.

TotalPartyChill - This organization has a special place on this list, as the creator of this San Francisco-based TTRPG studio is none other than Devon Chulick, a co-founder of StartPlaying! TotalPartyChill has been making D&D content since 2018, livestreaming Actual Plays, posting TTRPG news updates in their series “Ten Minute Tabletop News,” and more. Their most recent AP campaign is “This Game is Cursed,” an innovative D&D podcast that has players playing as themselves instead of characters, getting ‘Jumanji’d,’ or mysteriously sucked into the world of D&D. The members of TotalPartyChill are friends first, creators second, as their chemistry and banter over the able is endlessly entertaining and exactly the kind of fellowship you’d see at your own table with your best friends.

Wittle Goblin - As a lover, player, and creator of TTRPGs, Witty’s passion for games is endless. Her channels are dedicated to showing off the innovative (and often underrated) TTRPGs she collects from across the country at different conventions, creating D&D memes, and showcasing the overlap of art and TTRPGs, typically in the form of miniatures. Witty has developed a TTRPG of her own, “Night Thirst,” which was released on Valentine's Day of 2024, which pits players as vampiric characters against each other in a blood-sucking battle royale, racing to consume the most blood before sunrise.

PointyHat - PointyHat is a D&D commentary YouTuber that keeps viewers updated on D&D news and gives their thoughts on hot topics within the D&D community. He has multiple ongoing series that make his channel varied and fresh for all kinds of D&D enthusiasts. Videos like ‘The Problem with XYZ in D&D’ challenge viewers to consider the fallibility of the core rulebooks and PointyHat’s solutions. He was a prominent voice in the community's response to the new Player's Handbook and Monster Manual, not only chronicling the changes made but delivering his opinions as a seasoned player and DM himself. Viewers may not always agree with his ‘problems’ with various D&D elements, but he’ll always back up his claims with thorough research, lived experience, and solid logic.

ThatBigDnDEnergy - Born from the mind of Chicago-based Aaron Mann, ThatBigDnDEnergy is your classically hilarious D&D podcast made up by friends with great chemistry and deep love for the game. Although podcast episodes are seemingly on hiatus, Mann keeps the TikTok thriving with duets that turn viral videos into D&D memes and witty D&D skits. He’s especially great at keeping up with the most popular TikTok sounds and refashioning them to fit his insatiable stream of often ridiculous and wacky content ideas.

The Fantasy Forge - This channel is a worldbuilder's new best friend. With evident expertise, The Fantasy Forge creates guides for DMs to dive deeper into their homebrew universes, expanding upon their creations and making the rich elements of their worlds even richer. Tips on building a capital city, drawing a realistic fantasy map, and finding your ‘Dungeon Master Voice’ are all valuable lessons for any DM. Particularly, his series on writing and defining ‘acts’ of a campaign is full of proven effective storytelling techniques DMs should know to create the best experience for themselves and their players.

Whipjack - Cosplayer, YouTuber, TikToker, and co-founder of Unprepared Casters, Haley Whipjack is a staple of the online TTRPG community. Her content celebrates nerd culture, diving deep into niche interests, crafting lore-accurate costumes of her favorite characters, and acting out D&D sketches. Her TTRPG podcast, Unprepared Casters, offers those new to the space, or with limited time, a way to enjoy TTRPG content without devoting hours to catching up on episodes of a given campaign. Instead, each Unprepared Casters project is self-contained and only a few episodes long, so anyone can start listening at any time. In their continuing support for the community, they have most recently published a guidebook, co-authored with Amelia Som and Gus Rachels, titled “Before the Tavern: 100 Character Concepts for Tabletop Role-Playing Games.”

YesAndRPGs - The first lesson improv performers learn is the art of the ‘Yes, and…' response, and in a game that relies so heavily on improvisation and collaborative world building, that lesson is law. For YesAndRPG’s Michael Weingartner, this overlap of improv and TTRPGs has the two essentially stacked right on top of one another. Originally known for his videos suggesting unique encounters, magic items, and monsters for fans to bring to their home games, Weingartner has since partnered with Sidequest Theater, acting in their fully improv TTRPG show “Roll Play” and other productions. In August of 2025, Sidquest is set to release “Astroquest,” a sci-fi improv adventure complete with puppets, zany aliens, and not a script in sight, directed by Weingartner.

HamaSamaKun - Known best for his D&D TikTok skits, often pitting himself against himself in a different outfit to represent two characters, Chris of HamaSamaKun embraces the wild quirks of D&D players that cause their DMs to start going grey. From satirizing players trying to adapt pop culture characters into their games to absurd (often truly heinous) interpretations of spell mechanics, Chris knows how it feels to be on both sides of the screen in these scenarios. Beyond TikTok, Chris streams on Twitch, spotlights fellow Asian TTRPG creators as the DM of his podcast “Hot Asian DnD,” and is currently DMing for the AP “The Worst Heroes You Know.”

Cast Party - Founded in 2020, Cast Party is a D&D group of TTRPG influencers led by brothers  Colin and Ryan McManus. The channel is best known for its 4th-wall-bending main Actual Play campaigns, the first featuring the party playing actors transported into the world of D&D, and the second, currently ongoing, tells the story of D&D characters with memories from another life on Earth. Their TikTok is a treasure trove of edited clips from their APs, highlighting particularly funny or powerful moments, demonstrating the endless number of strange situations a TTRPG can take your characters. Ryan McManus, DM of another Cast Party AP, “Nocturne,” often introduces these moments by providing context, and also creates skits of his own.

CinderBlocksally -  This YouTuber and streamer knows what makes bad D&D good, and good D&D great. CinderBlocksally creates a wide variety of content, gaming, vlogs, and Warhammer 40k lore videos, but his standout content is his ability to critically review. His livestreamed series “Homebrew Helper” has viewers send in their homebrew content, spells, creatures, and magic items to be critiqued and ultimately improved by Cinderblocksally. Although his honesty can be brutal, it is foremost constructive, and fans know what they’re signing up for when sending over their ideas. He also hosts a show called “D&D Helpline,” where he (sometimes joined by a guest co-host) tackles viewer-submitted calls for help, advising on how to resolve their issues from their home games.

EncounterSmith - For many folks, playing D&D with friends in person proves to be too challenging, or in some cases, impossible. Fortunately, Virtual Tabletops, or ‘VTTs,’ provide a platform for TTRPGs to be played from across the globe, and their popularity has greatly increased, especially after the pandemic. Alongside more generalized D&D content, Tony of EncounterSmith creates videos for users of the Roll20 VTT or those looking to learn how to use it. He educates viewers on how to effectively use maps, manage tokens for players and creatures, create custom stat blocks, and more. For those who want to play TTRPGs online, EncounterSmith’s guides give you the tools and teach you how to use them.

HannahPlaysDnD - Once a forever DM, now a popular TTRPG creator, Hannah has her finger on the pulse of social media trends and is always ready to bring her own D&D take to them. Her videos often take a viral TikTok sound and set the stage for Hannah to apply it to relatable and comical TTRPG situations. Although she hasn’t forgotten her DM roots, partnering with D&D in a Castle to run exclusive games in a highly immersive space. Since her first few D&D TikToks in 2022, she’s now a player in large-scale Actual Play productions such as Panic Table’s “Dog Eat Dog,” a new series accompanying the debut of Panic Table’s original Mothership RPG campaign setting.

BeaDoesDnD - Bea is an avid cosplayer, voice actress, and D&D fan who’s been making viral TTRPG-related videos for over 5 years on TikTok. Since their first sensational shorts, they’ve carved a niche to dive into their interests, sharing videos of their cosplays, AP highlights, and TikToks that turn popular sounds into funny and relatable D&D scenarios. On Twitch, they’re DMing for a long-term ongoing AP called Tales of Agius on the DiceandAustim, a channel run by autistic folks and dedicated to uplifting voices of autistic TTRPG fans and creating a positive, supportive space for them to engage with the games.

AdventuresinAardia - Known best for his series “Roll for Sandwich,” Jacob Pauwels’ lunch has been decided by dice roll over 380 times since 2022 and continues to this day. Since the first fateful sandwich, the epic series has evolved in complexity and wackiness, now including ‘Roll for Sandwich’ spells that Pauwels can cast throughout a ‘season,’ allowing him to toast the bread, add sauce, and more. Although his initial virality came from this D&D-inspired culinary exercise, he has expanded his content to gaming on his second channel, Aardia Gaming, music on Spotify, and a cookbook he’s writing based on his wild lunchtime odysseys.

dndimposter - Kris is an example of a lover of the game sharing that passion in every post they make online. They create TTRPG comedy shorts that speak to D&D players on a deeply relatable level, like how we make our characters' backstories extra sad for flavor, or how much we despise metagamers. With their finger on the pulse of D&D players, Kris has the skill to turn even the tiniest moments from the table into witty videos. They are also a founder of Tabletop Tempest, an all-immigrant/children-of-immigrants-run AP, set to release a new series, ‘Breaking Prometheus’ soon in 2025.

DianaOfTheRose - Diana has a lot to say about TTRPGs, which is by all means not a bad thing. Primarily known for her commentary on TikTok and YouTube, Diana has been a guest on countless TTRPG podcasts, including May Contain Action, Lore Dump, Cloaks and Capes, Verdigris Table, and many more. Moreover, she’s a cohost of her own podcast, Worlds Apart, joined by Odinn of Odinn_Sonn, where the two create and play a TTRPG from scratch. As a player, she’s most recently starred as Bridge in “A Choice of Heart,” a “No Latency” sidequest AP. Diana is a widely popular voice in the space, always bringing something unique and insightful to every table.

AlectheBard - Creating D&D content for over five years, Alec has been a foundational part of multiple fantastic D&D Actual Play productions, primarily from behind the DM screen. Originally gaining popularity for his D&D TikTok POVs and sketches, which he still creates, Alec has gone on to become an award-winning gamemaster for his work on Tales of Novum, hosting the critically acclaimed shows “Heroes of Bastion,” “Secrets of the Core,” and his current project, “Rapture.” Few GMs have the ability to make their players gasp in terror, laugh uncontrollably, and sob profusely all in the same session, but Alec’s skills are one of a kind.

AnnetheGnome - Fans of fungi may recognize this name from their educational posts on X and Blue Sky about mycological topics, but beyond the mushrooms, they’re also a phenomenal creator in the D&D space! As both a player and GM, Anne has enhanced every production they’ve joined. To name only a few, they utilized their academic background in one-shots for Science & Sorcery, flexed their acting muscles in Blackwater D&D’s “The Right Angle,” and told their own powerful stories in their (completed) campaigns, “Beach Episodes!” and “Wayward Autumnal.” Anne’s storytelling style is excitingly chaotic, bringing to life eldritch absurdities alongside cosmic disco and more strange dynamics in unmissable, fascinating ways.

Oathbreaker Cary - Oathbreaker Cary’s page features Cary making in-character social media posts from the perspective of a Paladin/Warlock multiclass character within the world of D&D. He’ll rant about ‘third rate spellcasters’ in the party, he’ll parody alpha-male podcasts asking if its right to split the loot on a first dungeon date, and he’ll often do it in full cosplay, complete with armor and elven ears. Every video wraps you into his world, and you’ll be listening to drama within his party, eating it up as if this were real online drama. His commitment to the bit is truly unrivaled.

Cinsationally.me - Cin is a cosplayer and TTRPG player whose content captures their enthusiasm for the games they play and love for the community. They’re known for their phenomenal performances on several Actual Plays, including Crit Award-nominated “An Encounter in the Woods,” where they play as a frightening beast opposite Dan_The_Baker in the duet Hunter/ed game system. Currently, they’re featured on the cast of Tales of Novum’s ongoing campaign “Rapture,” masterfully embodying their character ‘Chrona’ to heartbreaking and heartwarming results.

Misfit Adventures - Sandbox TTRPGs, especially D&D, come with hard-hitting questions about what the ‘right’ way to play looks like, both as players and DMs. Amanda of Misfit Adventures takes on those challenges, dissecting topics such as party balance, total party kills, and the dreaded “It’s what my character would do” excuse. Alongside her commentary, Misfit Adventures is regularly releasing episodes for their second AP campaign of the same name, varied TTRPG reviews, and Ren Faire-related content. This channel is great for viewers who want to watch great players at the table and learn directly from them to bring that same energy to their home tables.

CritBard - Omega of CritBard has created a channel where individuality, TTRPGs, and joy are the priority. A performer at heart, he livestreams games, creates short-form D&D skits, posts covers of songs in gaming, and never backs down from the difficult conversations. His talent best shines through in the many Actual Plays he stars in, including an ongoing Vecna: Eye of Ruin campaign and the Baldur’s Gate-themed “Shadows over Baldur’s Gate” shows. Omega makes it a point to use his platform to support marginalized and underprivileged communities, producing the soon-to-release weeky AP “We Tell Their Tales,” aimed to primarily feature queer BIPOC creators raising money for St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital.

Arcane Anthems - Many of the D&D commentary creators on this list will tell you that music can add an extra level of immersion to your game; Weston from Arcane Anthems makes music just for that. His Spotify music is stream-friendly, royalty-free, and perfect for DMs setting the scene for their players, whether it be a haunted crypt or an active battlefield. On TikTok and YouTube, he creates D&D-themed parodies that are often arguably better than the originals. He’s turned the Red Hot Chili Peppers’ ‘Can’t Stop’ into a ‘My Shop,’ sung from the perspective of the quintessential D&D Shopkeeper NPC, Ed Sheeren’s “Shape of You” into a song about collecting countless dice, and much more. At GenCon 2025, he’ll be playing his first acoustic live show, aiming to create an ultra-cozy personal atmosphere for attendees.

DM Timothy - As a full-time Dungeon Master, hosting seven or more games per week, DM Timothy is deeply involved in the TTRPG world and is able to identify patterns and quirks of the game that many folks, who may play much more infrequently, might miss. His accomplished and constant exposure to gameplay informs videos like “Preparing a D&D Campaign that LASTS” and “Ranking ALL Warlock Evocations (and 4 BROKEN combos)” because he hosts multiple long-term campaigns and has had a level of experience with Warlocks that have likely used this combos to take out his meticulously planned encounters. DM Timothy is a great resource to players looking to gain lessons from thousands of hours of gameplay without having to devote the time themselves.

The Grungeon Master - Dissecting the game of D&D, self-proclaimed ‘overthinker’ Tom of The Grungeon Master uses his channel to voice his criticisms and reviews of everything TTRPGs. His in-depth and detailed dives into D&D elements allow viewers to deeply understand his concerns and fixes, even for seemingly trivial topics. For example, the videos “The Problem with Walls” and “How 11th Century Nuns Ruined Modern Fantasy” may initially appear strange and irrelevant to the game, but Tom’s writing and delivery cleverly guide us into drawing these connections ourselves, and ultimately, at the end of the video, we’re convinced. Tom’s sometimes sour critiques always come with a sweet solution, so players can take what they’ve gained from The Grungeon Master and confidently enhance their home games.

Dan_the_Baker - One part baker, one part activist, one part creator, left in the oven for just long enough to create incredible Dan the Baker! On their TikTok page, Dan posts D&D-related content alongside political and social activism, both in and out of the TTRPG space. Alongside their inclusivity initiatives, they’ve developed their own TTRPG system based on baking, called “Storybake,” where players take up the role of magical bakers, exploring the world in a cozy, fantastical setting. As a leading member of Open Table Adventures, he can be found interviewing fellow TTRPG creators, DMing for “Gross Anatomy,” and playing in award-nominated duet Actual Play: An Encounter in the Forest.”

ArmorFrogEntertainment - ArmorFrog is an extremely opinionated and equally intelligent commentator in the online sphere of D&D. His videos include in-depth rankings of D&D elements like subclasses or Baldur's Gate 3 builds, with him making convincing arguments as to why he makes each choice, alongside vast swaths of tangential nerdy pop-culture content. He has a unique ability to break down concepts from nerd culture into cohesive and engaging videos, exploring an interesting backstory or justifying his D&D hot takes.

Miss Magitek - Tracie, aka Miss Magitek, is a cosplayer who specializes in the World of Darkness TTRPG and LARP content. Alongside her cosplays of iconic and original characters alike, she’s DM’d Vampire: The Masquerade Actual Plays such as “Ancestral Blood,” and Cyberpunk Red oneshots “Biotechnia or Bust” and “Fake it ‘til You Make It.” On YouTube, she’s also published content reviews from the franchises she loves, The Witcher, Dragon Age: Inquisition, and more. Her most recent performance has her jumping into the Warhammer 40k universe, playing Sister Serissa on MagiRPG’s “Wrath and Glory” series streamed live on Twitch.

Caleb the Bard - Known best for his D&D cosplays and POVs, Caleb adds his charismatic, dramatic flair to his renderings of D&D tropes, classic Bard shenanigans, and moments at the tavern. Many of his videos lean heavily into the romantic elements of D&D, featuring their partner, BettyTheBeholder, opposite him in videos depicting when the enemies finally turn to lovers, the adventurer and their lost love, and other heart-string-pulling content. Off of TikTok, he DMs for The Strangers Guild, an organization that has produced and completed the first season of their 13-episode main campaign, “The Tales of D’aow Vern.”

LatinosAgainstSpookySh*t - Beginning in 2020, Jonathan Perez created LatinosAgainstSpookySh*t to celebrate his Mexican heritage and cultural practices in the form of short skits and TikTok stitches/duets. He reacts to ‘spooky’ videos, tells scary stories, and brings his infectiously fun personality to each post. Gradually, Perez further incorporated his interest in TTRPGs into his page and was eventually able to make content creation his career. Now, he’s a cofounder of Tabletop Tempest alongside aforementioned creator dndimposter, and uses his platform to highlight Latine culture through his content, GMing, and characters.

Taylor’s Tavern Tales - Taylor is a quintessential ‘variety’ TTRPG content creator, which is to say, she does a lot of different stuff on her channel. Viewers can expect her to read and review D&D Reddit horror stories, vlog from national conventions, use the D&D source books to make food and cocktails, create D&D-themed tier lists, record beautiful covers of RPG-related songs, and that’s just scraping the surface. Taylor's love of D&D and TTRPGs manifests in so many creative ways, all connected by her quality editing and electrifying personality. Every video she posts may be new and different, but certainly entertaining.

OhheyitsGina_ - Known for her outstanding performances across multiple Actual Plays, Gina Susanna is a dream player at any GM’s table. From her acting in Tales of Novum’s “Secrets of the Core” to Panic Table’s one-shot “How to Train Your Dog,” she has worked with many of the most notable TTRPG content organizations. However, her current (and biggest) role yet is as Ever on BlackwaterDnD’s Godkiller: Balance, confronting heavy topics, embodying this deeply emotional character, and bringing her to life in visceral ways that more than just tug, but tear at viewers' heartstrings.

The ADHDM - While originally a channel dedicated to exploring the overlap between mental health and TTRPGs, the ADHDM has evolved to produce video-essay style content, tackling the difficult truths of online D&D, ranking D&D horror one-shots, and much more. ADHD and mental health support is still at the core of the channel, with videos such as “The Hardest Part of D&D with ADHD” and “Conquer DM Burnout,” Skyler of The ADHDM not only suggests strategies for fellow neurodivergents on how to healthily improve their games and take care of themselves, but also great DM guidance for any viewer aiming to up their DM game.

Too Hard the Bard - Jade from Too Hard the Bard uses TikTok’s wide library of sounds and songs to create short, familiar vignettes from many of our D&D experiences. A player asks their DM if a 26 hits, the DM responds ‘Just Barely…’ suddenly the lights go red, the music drops, and Jade perfectly captures the terror of facing down such a powerful foe. Entirely without spoken dialogue, Jade’s choice of music paired with expositional text on screen, colorful lighting techniques, and masterful face acting allows them to tell an entire emotional story in just a few seconds on our FYPs.

BlackwaterDnD - Hailing from the Canadian TTRPG scene, BlackwaterDnD produces professionally edited, ultra-high-quality TTRPG Actual Plays across multiple platforms. Their second main campaign, DM’d by the talented Tim Carlson, is ongoing, nearly 100 episodes long at the time of this article’s publication; each streamed live, uploaded on YouTube, and easily bingeable in podcast form. Simultaneously, their prequel series to Godkiller: Oblivion, Godkiller: Balance, is also releasing new episodes, DM’d by BlackwaterDnD founder Em Carlson and featuring massive names in the TTRPG space, including Brennan Lee Mulligan, Aabria Iyengar, Matt Mercer, and Anjali Bhimani, lending their legendary voices to perform as Gods and critical NPCs in the story. If those awesome stories weren’t enough, BlackwaterDnD will be one of the first organizations to present an AP using Hunters Entertainment and Atticus Haus’s new Sin Eater TTRPG in Sin Eater: Absolution, premiering May 9th.

ImprovGM - Mikel the Improv GM has been providing helpful tips for D&D players and DMs for over 10 years and counting. He uses this veteran experience to teach established players and newbies alike with videos about how to start and end scenes, properly scale encounters, and constructively play the game. At GenCon, he’s hosting improv workshops to help those who want to improve the richness of their roleplay. The quality games he DMs, like his currently running Ars Magica: Reign Spring campaign, and the storytelling advice he gives is rooted in both familiarity with the game and experience as a high school drama teacher.

TheHypeGoblin - As a professional voice actor, cosplayer, and TTRPG writer, Sara Roberts is a multi-talented, unabashed nerd. On TikTok, they create POVs and vignettes of scenes featuring themselves, cosplaying and embodying their D&D characters, using TikTok sounds that align with the character's personality or story. Moreover, they use their experience to create purchasable homebrew content and adventure scenarios, even adapting some of their own oneshots that have been streamed live on Twitch. Coming soon, Roberts voice acts for Lera Wilton, a character in an upcoming original audio drama, “The Long Rest.”

Daniel the DM - Rounding out our list, Daniel Hargrove is a creator who is equal parts funny and insightful when it comes to D&D. From skits where the bard starts a rap battle as they cast Vicious Mockery to advising DMs that have problem players in their game, Daniel’s page has a little bit of everything. He’ll give his qualified opinions on D&D controversies in one video and do a D&D parody of Whiplash in the next. His charisma and love for the community are contagiously apparent in his videos, making them even better to enjoy.

The List is Never Complete

While we’d love to keep pointing you to more and more fantastic members of the D&D content creation community, there is a point where this non-exhaustive list may become exhausting after all. Consider this list the start of your adventure into the online D&D universe, and if you like one of these creators, try checking out their co-stars, frequent collab friends, and other people they’ve worked with. That is all to say, there is an endless number of D&D fans making content celebrating, educating, and entertaining the D&D world at large, so there’s almost certainly someone curating the page that’s just right for you.
