About the adventure

Welcome for adventurers of all skill levels. A very fun and inviting atmosphere. While the adventure may start small, who knows where things may take you, and to what adventure lay beyond Phandelver? We will start with Lost Mine of Phandelver, and then the players decide what module to play next, most likely continuing into Phandelver and Below, but the choice is yours!

About me

Hello! The name's Jon, but you can call me Choco or Grimm. I've been playing Dnd 5e for about five years, and GMing for a little over 2 years. My passion is entertaining people and making them laugh and telling amazing stories. I'm very much a nerd and will make all kinds of dumb references to movies, anime, and video games. I like to experiment with various mechanics to spice up the game. I'm also trying to learn Pathfinder 2e, but it's a slow process. I'm very welcoming, open, and accepting. I do my best to make everyone comfortable and respect boundaries to the best of my ability. I pride myself on making lovable npcs and providing an intricate world. I generally run things on Roll20 VTT and use Discord for voice chat, and I do my best to provide ambient music and sounds for the most immersive experience. I have a homebrew campaign I'd be happy to run, as well as multiple oneshots. I also love teaching new players. All I ask is that you have an open mind, respect everyone's time, and come ready to laugh.

Great Game - lots of Role Playing mixed with combat. Likes to tell a story and you feel part of that story. I would join another campaign of his for sure.

Jon is a wonderful GM. He's a great storytelling and knows how to create an inviting atmosphere for those playing with him for the first time. He's very mindful of player decisions and choices, and I certainly felt our party's accomplishments had meaning in the broader story and world. And as a paid GM, I have to give Jon props for knowing when to keep the pace moving. I've played with paid GMs before that often leave the players in awkward silence as we do our best to roleplay, but that has never been an issue with Jon in my experience. Overall, I highly recommend signing up for a game with Jon whether you're a new player or old! I'm certainly looking forward to my next campaign with him.

My sessions with Jon have all been positive experiences so far. He is a very nice and considerate person who strives to make the games as enjoyable as possible while also being accommodating to what you want to try out. He ensures that people are given a break and time to refresh and ensures everyone at the table is treated equally and find enjoyment.

Literally the best DnD I've ever played. I love his world building, the npc's are all interesting, and he's great at making you feel welcome.

Engaging and plans well. Is thoughtful and engages his encounters well. He is also flexible when looking to have a fun encounter. With out making it not fun but not keep a good amount of structure. Pulls you in to the awesome storytelling backed by a firm insight in source materials.

Jon is one of the best people I've ever had the pleasure of playing with. He makes great use of lighting and maps in order to create a fantastically fun game to play. Also his NPCs are some of my favorite especially with the voices he uses.
