The city of Soldra must preform their ritual before its too late! Will you help them? Or become part of the problem?
About the adventure
Soldra is a beautiful, ancient city, flanked by sea and mountain and lit by the sun as if blessed by the gods themselves. But its beauty comes with a price. After a tumultuous history fighting dragons that attacked and looted the city, the superstitious citizens of Soldra make an annual offering to appease the dragon god, Bahamut. A virgin woman, selected at random from Soldra’s citizenry, is exiled to Garra’s Peak, where she is left at the mercy of dragons. None of the women have ever returned. This year’s sacrificial ceremony does not go as planned. What will transpire on Garra’s Peak? For a small party of level 3 adventurers, we arrive in the town of Soldra during their time of selection, a trying time of hope and fear. This adventure can be anywhere from 2-4 hours long based on decisions from the players. Characters for this setting can be of any class or race, and Combat is to be expected so make your characters accordingly.

About me
I have been a DM for D&D 5e since 2016. I started in college and never stopped. I love TTRPG'S and everything about them! I've always been a story teller and loved the unpredictability of people in these world I've made and ran. I am a Streamer, Content Creator, Voice Actor, and Storyteller. Creating your character
You may create a character on your own and send it to me to approve. Please no Homebrew races, classes, spells, or magic items. Stick with what comes with normal character creation. Stats are Point buy with 15 max, 3 min, and 27 points to split. If you have questions about this I will help out. Starting level is 3 and all official dnd content is welcome for all characters (No UA)

What Darien Noel brings to the table
DnDbeyond content Discord Roll20 Because of this one-shot setting, most of the game will be theater of the mind except for the section of combat. Which will be through roll20.com The games I run, I prefer to keep things Rules as Written. But exceptions may be made during certain situations. We do have rules of cool which over rule some RAW rules but that will be seen on discord. I do many character voices and and do utilize ambient music for my games.
Homebrew rules
First Rule of Cool. A natural 20 does not need to be rolled again (unless at disadvantage). Same goes for a crit 1. When a natural 20 is rolled you will auto deal double your normal damage die to the enemies. (This means you roll double your dice. If you would roll 1d6, you now roll 2d6 for that turn.) Sub section b: Natural 20s and Crit 1s mean nothing on ability checks and saving throws! Yes the lower the roll the worse the outcome and the higher the roll the better the outcome, But on these two things you must still pass the modifier needed. Sub section c: This is known as the Omen clause. If you roll a Crit fail on any roll, the option will be given for The Omen. Which I will take your Crit 1 and allow you to reroll for free. But at anytime in the future I may replace any roll you do with that Crit 1. This is an optional rule and does not need to be accepted. Subsection d: You can volentarily fail a saving throw if you choose to! There are situations where failing a saving throw may help you and your allies so this gives you the option. This is being adopted from 5.5 Edition. | Second Rule of Cool. Before you roll for anything. You must state what your are doing or what your are attempting. If you roll and then say what you are doing. You will need to reroll. Subsection b: Only one spell with a slot may be cast, per turn. Meaning you may not cast 2 spells with slots in the same turn. This rule is being adopted from the 5.5E Ruleset. | Third rule of Cool. Do not let other players tell you how to play your character. You know your character better than anyone so you know how they will be played! | Fourth Rule of Cool. DM/GM word is law. Though I may sometimes ask for clarity on situations and try to brush up on the rules, what they say is how to world will work. | Fifth Rule of Cool. By joining this campaign you agree to all the rules stated on this page. Any personal arguments are not to be brought into the game or in-game arguments settled outside of the game. This IS A GAME! though we want people to take it seriously and have fun, bringing in personal feelings from outside the game is pointless and just ruins the fun for everyone. No one here is targeted, and no one here is discriminated against. It is a game and we all just want to have the most fun we can! Everything that happens in game is just where the dice fall.

How Darien Noel creates a safe table
The game is good for experienced and new players alike. Any help that is needed during game or before will be provided via discord. Once joined we will send you a link to the channel for this game! Session 0 will be held for any beginners needing help to build a character or any player that has questions. I also request all Lines and Veils be messaged to me so we can make sure to adhear to them! I do request characters be made with DnDBeyond as we use the Avrae bot and I like to go over the sheets before hand. If you do not use this that is okay, I still request that I am able to look over the sheet before hand. All rules and regulations will be in the discord and any questions I will be happy to answer!
