A campaign set in the city of New York, inspired by the series Solo Leveling. A group of young hunters arrive to the city, eager to make their mark and set themselves up for new levels of success through whatever rewards they may find, but they'll soon learn that between the dungeons, and the numerous guilds and gangs that operate within the Boroughs, making a name for themselves won't be so easy...

About me
Hello everyone! My name is Red, I'm 29 years old, and I use he/they pronouns! I've been playing TTRPGs for the better part of 15 years now, and have been a GM for about 12 of those! I have experience with multiple different PbTA systems, Avatar Legends, Candela Obscura, Call of Cthulhu, as well as both 5e and 4e of DnD! However, I'm also more than willing to pick up newer systems and do a bit of experimenting! With my games, I aim to ensure a roleplay heavy atmosphere, as well as provide challenging combat and engaging storylines! I am someone that will often do my best to incorporate character backstories into my game's main narrative, so I aim to create a very collaborative process between myself and you, the players! Lets have some adventures!

Proficiencies
Players say this GM is great at:
Creativity
Storytelling
Inclusive
Red is someone that will always make you feel welcome and engaged at his table. He puts a lot of thought into making sure characters are involved in the narrative and everyone gets their moments in the spotlight, while always being ready to check in outside of gametime to make sure that everyone is okay
Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation in session zero! We'll discuss limitations, character ideas, potential dynamics between the members of your group, as well as how they can fit into the narrative at large! We'll be starting at level 2, so people will have some time to test out their class before picking up a subclass (for the most part).
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Please have a roll20 account for gameplay and a DnDBeyond account for keeping track of character creation! As well as a microphone and a discord account!
What Red/Mike brings to the table
I do not have a large repertoire of accents, but I do try to differentiate characters by their voices and descriptions! I do also have ambient music for roleplay scenes, as well as customized playlists for individual battles and boss battles! I am a DM more than willing to roll with the punches and improvise if a curveball is sent my way, as I believe player freedom is incredibly important, and will try to make sure scenarios have multiple avenues of success for the players as well!
Homebrew rules
Drinking a potion is a bonus action, critical hits are done as doubling the entire numerical dice result and not just double the amount of dice rolled, and death saves will be rolled privately to be sent straight to the DM!

Safety
How Red/Mike creates a safe table
I'm a big fan of safety tools, which we'll go over in detail in session 0, but I'll always take about 10-15 minutes to talk about the game and digest things to make sure everyone enjoyed themselves, or to address any issues. For X, N & O's, if we come across any topic that you are uncomfortable with in game, please feel free to message me and we can end the scene/cut that topic out of the equation! I will also do a Consent Checklist that will be sent during Session Zero to confirm triggers with everyone and what topics need to be avoided at all cost!
