Curse of Strahd Revamped (Presented by Paragon)
Dungeons & Dragons 5e | Campaign
About the adventure
In this adventure, you fellow players shall explore and plunge deep into Barovia a land both ancient and forgotten, a kingdom shrouded by mists. Where the living are haunted by the dead, where monstrous thirsts cannot be quenched and even its guardians of old have turned against it. Here life has no meaning and most of its inhabitants do not even care. The only things they all dread are the mists and their master the vampire lord Strahd Von Zarovich. An ancient curse is beset on this land separating it into its own domain of dread controlled by the vampire Strahd. Here is where you, my dear players, and your characters come in. You will have to make many choices and your choices will truly matter and rebound in the future of this adventure campaign. Starting with the choice of how your character comes into Barovia as it is its own world, to helping or destroying hags that turn the bones of children to power for pies or take advantage of the power they can offer. What shall you do with the tyrants of this land or its ancient inevitable horrors? What you can expect from the adventure? 1. Creativity will be rewarded on all levels I am a DM that appreciates creative choices outside and inside combat 2. Roleplay is my favorite part of the game, sometimes steel of the sword and the fire of the spell must ring but when you want to and when its reasonable to roleplay and resolve a scene without combat or through clever planning that is where the game shines. 3. This is an adventure with some adult themes and plenty of dread and horror but also drama from characters who want to rise and be heroes, to those who are immensely self-centered and more so than most those who want to drag others down into their own horror. 4. You will have the chance to equip yourself with amazing artifacts of ancient light and power or newfound weapons of dread craft. And fight against some of the most amazing monsters and enemies of DnD 5. Play key parts that will alter your fate and the history of Barovia, delve into the dram of Strahd von Zarovich and his past.
Game style
Rules as Written (RaW)
Games that are ran “Rules as Written” emphasize realism and stick to the letter of the rules, allowing players to explore creative solutions while still operating under a consistent rule set. Players have the ability to utilize the rules in creative ways to create awesome characters and moments in the game.
Rule of Cool (RoC)
“Rule of Cool” emphasizes creative story beats over sticking to a system’s rules as written. Players have the ability to push the limits of the rules or even break core rule mechanics at times if the Game Master thinks it is interesting, fun, or cool enough.
Combat Heavy
“Combat Heavy” games emphasize the combat mechanics within their systems over roleplay or puzzle solving. There are frequent and longer battles with enemies and a greater emphasis on tactical game play.
Roleplay Heavy
“Roleplay Heavy” games place the focus on the story, the characters, and the world they live within, and tend to lean hard into the various roleplaying elements of the game. These games will frequently find the party talking with NPCs, exploring the personal elements of their backstories, or even having emotional moments around the camp fire.

Storytelling
Paragon does an amazing job with storytelling, while maintaining balance between combat encounters and character roleplaying. Also he is very helpful with new players and always ready to answer any of your questions both in and out of game. He gives a lot of attention to detail and he is well-prepared for every session, wanting to explore the character's background stories and give all the players the chance to have their moments during the sessions. He uses a great variety of maps, music and homebrew rules that make the game expirience even more exciting. I will definitely keep playing at his campaign(s) and absolutely recommend him if you want to have a fun time playing DND.
Paragon is a stellar GM who I had the pleasure of playing with for a Witchlight campaign. Paragon embraced the tone of the campaign and allowed for plenty of time for role play fun whilst ensuring the game didn't get bogged down. I highly recommend Paragon. This is a top 10% GM here on SPG.l

How to prepare
You'll just need a basic understanding of D&D 5E and Discord (either the installed app or a web account) to join the voice channels and communicate with the group.
What I provide
I will bring custom music for the game, custom artwork, adventure books, and materials needed for the campaign. Plus all of my available library of PDFs, books, etc for you to use for character creation or something else if you would like. I try my best to do voices and create a unique personality for each NPC and character that the party encounters, environmental ambiance, and emergent elements.
Gameplay details
We use Lines and Veils in play. Plus, we use Red cards for big no-nos and Gray cards for stuff that's getting a bit uncomfortable as subject matter or roleplay. If anyone needs it, we've got aftercare. I always keep the communication lines open with my players, tackling any issues ASAP for a smooth and chill experience.
