🦑 Temper of the Stormkindler 🦑 Lovecraftian-Seafaring Homebrew
About the adventure
🦑 Temper of the Stormkindler 🦑 Lovecraftian-Seafaring Homebrew The city-state of Ilquia strikes an accord with its neighbouring fiefdoms, finally earning autonomy from the empires across the water. Their first and only undertaking as an independent sovereignty? Set sail out from the Buckler's Drink, in hopes of scouring the ocean for any sign of their long lost patron-god: Nilquis, the Stormkindler. The tide grows restless and disturbed, the god of the seas, of wind and fury, has been absent too long, and whatever lay waiting far beneath the ocean's surface begins to notice the interference of man. "Temper of the Stormkindler" is a long-term homebrew campaign set in an overarching homebrew world. Inspired by common tropes of Eldritch and Lovecraftian horror, explore the seas, a slowly modernizing fantasy world, and the maddening themes of vastness, isolation, and the elements. Picture the Age of Sail but in an anachronistic setting filled to the brim with intrigue, romance, betrayal, and conspiracy. Travel from far and wide toward Ilquia to see if you can't play a role in the vindication of a tired, desperate people.

About me
Hey there, my name's Fitz (they/he), and I have been a GM for about 9 years—3 of those professionally! I run consistent weekly paid games, high concept one-shots, and have built up quite the tight-knit community over at what we like to call "Also Dragons". Most of the campaigns I run take place in an overarching homebrew setting, spanning different genres, corners of the world, and differing types of magic and technology. Together they paint a larger picture, each player adding a brushstroke.

I've played dnd since 3.5 back in the early to mid 00's but it wasn't until I started as a player at Fitz's table that I feel like I really have seen what a TTRPG is truly capable of. In addition to the quality and time put into each session, I truly feel immersed within each setting. I appreciate how much effort is put into intergrating each character into the overarching story. I can't recommend Fitz enough to anyone looking for a community and to be part of a longrunning narratively driven campaign.
Truly one of the best times i've ever had in dnd. Fitz is an incredible pleasure and has completely revitalized my love for dnd. Taking the plunge and joining the games ive joined has been one the greatest pleasures in my (recently) turbulent life. Truly and honestly some of the most delightful times i've had. Looking forward to many more sessions in the future :)
Zach is the real deal. Literally blows me away session after session. I feel extremely lucky to have found their ad for their games and have been playing in two campaigns for about 6 months now. Honestly fantastic and we are building a nice little community as well. If you get the chance to join one of their games you should go for it.
Zac knows how to keep you wanting to come back for more. His homebrew world is solid and well rounded and grows every day. It feels like major decisions made by characters have an impact in the world. He's willing to work with the player on obtaining feats and skills in a campaign as apart of character development. He knows how to control his table and catches players attentions by giving great lore drops.
Character creation
Creating your character
Character creation will occur in call, to allow for discussion of potential backstory connections and to allow consistency with the rest of the party. Nothing worse than a player making a character they are passionate about only to find that it's not a good fit for the setting or the group! There are some other details that will be elaborated on in Session Zero and may inform some player choices!
2024 Rules! Weekly sessions, every Friday at 11am Pacific (2pm Eastern)! *Session zero/sit-in free for new players to get a feel for me as a GM <3

What Fitz♦️🍏Also Dragons brings to the table
I have access to all official material on D&DBeyond, as well as a slew of resources and animated maps/visual references which we will be using via a screensharing VTT method. I prefer this approach as I feel it best emulates an at-the-table feel and reduces the amount of tabs and things for people to keep track of!

Safety
How Fitz♦️🍏Also Dragons creates a safe table
Session Zero allows the players to take the floor, ask questions about the setting, make requests for content they would (or would not) like to see. We will get you oriented with the Also Dragons server, discuss house rules and general community dynamic, and go through content-consent checklists to gauge levels of comfortability with subject matter that may (but will likely not) arise.
