About the adventure
A world of unimaginable creatures, fantastic places, unspeakable horrors,and unforgettable journeys - that’s Dungeons & Dragons. Are you ready to embark on an adventure that leads you face-to-face with some of the most awe-inspiring beings this world has to offer? Then join me for a tale of alliances with the generally goodhearted metallic dragons - or prepare for battle against one of the malevolent minded chromatic ones. Ten adventures. Ten dragons. Ten unforgettable stories. Are you new to D&D? Don‘t worry, I am more than pleased to guide you through the basics during our first adventure in this draconic anthology. Or are you an experienced player, who wants to put his skills to the test on new journeys once again? You are welcome just as much. Curious about the full anthology? So am I. But for now let us commit to one adventure - and decide as a group how much further we want to go. Starting with a free Session 0, we will discuss common wishes, expectations, boundaries, and your characters. We'll meet on my Discord for this. It would be great if you can send me the filled out „Session 0“ PDF before Session 0. We’ll be using the 2024 ruleset. No additional sourcebooks are required, and homebrew content is not planned — but I’m always open to creative ideas. Want to play as a specific species that is not included in the Player‘s Handbook? Do you want to create your character with a certain class not part of the Core Rules? Let‘s talk about it during Session 0. Each session runs for about 3 hours, including a short break, and we will play weekly. The duration can vary a little, depending on the pacing and the scenario. If a natural stopping point presents itself early, I may end the session there. If a great moment needs a little more time, I won’t rush us through. We’ll also decide as a group how to handle things like absent players during Session 0. What You Bring You'll need access to Discord and an account on D&D Beyond. It would be great if you set this up beforehand. Ideally, you'll already have an idea for your character. Ready to delve into the dangerous world of dragons? About me
Hi and welcome! My name is Sam, and I’ve always been passionate about storytelling and creating immersive, atmospheric experiences. That’s been true in my songwriting—and even more so since I became a game master. Like many, I first stepped into the world of tabletop roleplaying as a player. A friend introduced me to Shadowrun through one-on-one sessions, and I was instantly hooked. I fell in love not just with the setting, but with the boundless creativity—and with the fact that GMs and players build the world together. After a few years (and several systems explored), my friends and I eventually found a home in Dungeons & Dragons and the 5e system. I’ve been running regular games since 2017 and am always looking for ways to improve and grow as a GM. Now, I want to share what I’ve learned—my ideas, my stories, and my time—with others. Creating your character
Ideally, you'll already have an idea for your character. You don't need knowledge of the rules; it's more about the character itself. Who is this person? What species do they belong to, and where do they come from? What brings them to the scene, and what motivates them in life? You can use the „Session 0“ PDF for a push in the right direction.

Preparing for the session
You'll need an account on D&D Beyond. It would be great if you set this up beforehand. We'll create the characters together there. And there is a PDF called „Session 0“ which you can find on my Discord. It helps a lot if you fill it out and send it to me before Session 0.
What No Rails Just Tales brings to the table
I offer a beginner-friendly Dungeons & Dragons session, which we'll start with a free Session 0. There we discuss common wishes, expectations, and boundaries, and create your characters. We'll meet on Discord for this. I provide a Discord server and the necessary rules on D&D Beyond.

How No Rails Just Tales creates a safe table
The only limits to the freedom at the table are our own boundaries. We'll discuss these beforehand and respect each other. The most important thing is to have fun together and ensure that everyone feels comfortable! During the session it will always be possible to draw a line and stop, if anyone is not feeling comfortable.
