Curse of Strahd
Welcome to Ravenloft! The mist travel all planes and all world in the multiverse. No one is safe from the mist!
About the adventure
l figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. The vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stares down a sheer cliff at the village below. A cold, bitter wind spins dead leaves about him, billowing his cape in the darkness. Lightning splits the clouds overhead, casting stark white light across him. Strahd turns to the sky, revealing the angular muscles of his face and hands. He has a look of power-and of madness. His once handsome face is contorted by a tragedy darker than the night itself. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind's howling increases as Strahd turns his gaze back to the village. Far below, yet not beyond his ken, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd's face forms a twisted smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they have come-all according to his plan. He, the master of Ravenloft, will attend to them. Another lightning flash rips through the darkness, its thunder echoing through the castle's towers. But Strahd is gone. Only the howling of the wind-or perhaps a lone wolf-fills the midnight air. The master of Raven loft is having guests for dinner. And you are invited.

DJ runs a very fun and fair table. His 33 years experience running games really comes though. He is mostly a rules as written type DM but is willing to be somewhat flexible when it makes sense within the story or the game mechanics as written don’t make sense in certain situations. He genuinely loves dming as much as the players love playing which makes for a great experience for everyone at the table.
DJ knows his stuff, is friendly, knowledgeable, and willing to challenge his players. He helped negotiate a party introduction that didn't handwave potential friction but rather allowed us to start a bond and start working together organically. He knows the rules, his world, and what happens in it. All while being friendly and new player flexible as well. Great fella
Character creation
Creating your character
I will run a session 0 to build characters that will be free but if you join later, we can work out the time to build your character one on one.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
A computer or phone are required to play, and you will need have a discord other than that use should be fine. I have taught many of brand-new players how to play and have played with many of gamers with even more knowledge than myself and we always seem to have a great time.
What DJ brings to the table
I use Discord, an HD cam and google drive (which has most game character sheets, players handbooks and such), from there we should be able to run almost any game we would like to play.
Homebrew rules
Potions as bonus action, Standard Array Ability Scores, Crits deal max + dice roll (instead of roll twice), Up to three inspiration max
