About the adventure

DO YOU DARE TAKE ON THE COUNT! The Curse of Strahd takes adventurers from their comfy homes to Barovia a domain of despair, and is designed for characters of levels 1–10. A great game for beginners, newbie’s or novices as I will be helping guide and educate you on D n D when needed. Its a heavy RP game with lots of chance for character development and acting out your heroes, there’s still combat of course but it’s not a dungeon crawl. If you like the Critical Role style of play this is for you. I like to help my groups make friendships with each other so we can all be silly and have some fun. It is a horror game so be prepared for horrifying experience's but there will also be some lightness to keep you going. Hate Tech or Socially Anxious! I don’t like tech either so I’ve tried use the easiest ones available and that are free. Feeling anxious of meeting new people? You will be able chat to me before hand so you will know me before the game and I make sure all the groups are integrating and if you have a shy day sometimes that’s cool. (if you don’t understand any of the D n D words here don’t worry I will explain it) READ ON IF YOU DARE TO MEET THE COUNT! Under raging storm clouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. The vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich stares down a sheer cliff at the village below. A cold, bitter wind spins dead leaves about him, billowing his cape in the darkness. Lightning splits the clouds overhead, casting stark white light across him. Strahd turns to the sky, revealing the angular muscles of his face and hands. He has a look of power—and of madness. His once handsome face is contorted by a tragedy darker than the night itself. Rumbling thunder pounds the castle spires. The wind’s howling increases as Strahd turns his gaze back to the village. Far below, yet not beyond his ken, a party of adventurers has just entered his domain. Strahd’s face forms a twisted smile as his dark plan unfolds. He knew they were coming, and he knows why they have come—all according to his plan. He, the master of Ravenloft, will attend to YOU!

About me

📜 Story tailored to the Party/Player's decisions (what you do matters) 🧭 Emphasis on exploration and discovering the D&D world around you 🎭 Intriguing NPC interactions and exciting social dynamics 🎨 Art work and maps specially made for your adventure 🧠 Theatre of the Mind playstyle for maximum creativity 🤗 A safe and accepting space for all players 💪 Support for new players, so everyone can join in on the fun! 🤝 Make friends with your interests as you join the group 🎲 Very easy set up on the tech side so you can play straight away Not going to lie I LOVE the Critical Role show. If you like that style of play I am probably a good fit for you. I prefer story over mechanics, and hope to see some contributions from you to make the story is more fun through role playing. There’s a heavy focus on building your characters background, personality and goals from the get go. I give time for players to socalise with each other in each game to do this. There will be monsters and fighting but also merriment and heart ache. (generally every other game we have a big fight session, while the other is exploration and socialising) I try to conform my style to whatever is best-suited to each party and their campaign. There are so many ways to enjoy this game that I find it works best to ask players a lot of questions, seek a lot of feedback, and always be prepared to adjust. And if you want see my style of play and DMing skills click on the You Tube Link to see me in action.

Character creation

Creating your character

You will start at lvl1 (or higher depending when you join the adventure) and make your character in DND Beyond, point buy/standard array, and will I will give you a link to join my campaign. If you join for session 0 we will spend that session making your character together so you don't need prep anything. No home brew is allowed, and you’re free to use any of my shared resources on D n D Beyond to make your character and I can help guide you in the make. I will make myself available before then to help craft your character either through discord chat or a brief 1-1 free of charge pre game.

What to expect

Preparing for the session

I use Session Zero to address any safety concerns the game might entail, and I am always open to being messaged privately if further concerns arise. I prefer to run a tight ship and keep the story moving, but the most important thing to me is that all my players are having fun. I will provide a Discord chat room for the game to be played and also a text chat room so you can talk to me or the rest of the party when you wish to. You will need the free link for Discord which I will send you and I use Owl Bear which you just need click to access for maps. The only registering is a free D n D beyond account to make your character (takes about 2 mins to do) Equipment needed. A computer or tablet, computer will make it easier. webcam(adds more fun but you don’t have to use) and a mic.
