About the adventure
š² Curse of Strahd: A Gothic Horror Sandbox for Roleplay-Driven Players š² The mists rise. You don't remember how you got here, but the forest is silent. A raven watches from a crooked branch. Somewhere in the distance, a church bell tolls. Welcome to Barovia, a land without sunlight and without mercy. The vampire lord Strahd von Zarovich has taken an interest in you. Whether for amusement or something darker, he is watching. This is not a story about heroes. It's about survivors. People who have been broken, lost, and haunted. But they still get back up and keep going, because they have to. In this campaign, you will: - Explore haunted forests, cursed towns, and ancient ruins - Shape the world with your choices - Roleplay deeply with complex NPCs - Face real consequences for your actions - Try to keep hope alive I have run Curse of Strahd over a dozen times, and no two games were ever alike. I create the setting, but you decide how to survive in it. Whether you're new or returning, your story will be your own. Combat is fast and vivid. Roleplay takes center stage. Magic items are exciting and memorable. The table is always safe and welcoming. You will never be punished for speaking up or playing your way. New players are welcome. If youāve played it before, let me know and we can tailor the experience to keep it fresh. Step into the mists. Just donāt expect to leave unchanged. About me
Hello adventurers, my name's Ted and it's a pleasure to make your acquaintance! I've been a Dungeon Master for D&D 5E for the past 5 years. I started my professional full-time DM career on November of 2021 and I've been having a blast! I am Greek born and raised, which gives me the edge when I talk for the NPCs, they all have a natural Eastern European accent! Joking aside, I love D&D and I enjoy playing every single session. I am very passionate about the game and all my players have had a great time. I DM for most of the official modules from Wizards of the Coast. I can also pick up other books if a group requests them, but will need some time to prepare. I hope you consider me to be your Dungeon Master on your next epic adventure!
View Profile āCharacter creation
Creating your character
Players will start from level 1 and progress to level 10 in the span of this campaign. Each player should have a general idea of what character they'd like to play and then we will make the concept a reality together. Characters will be created at Session 0. We are going to be using the 2024 rulebooks and monsters.
Session 0 is free! On session 0 we will discuss the ins and out of the campaign, explain how the cooking mechanics work and roll for our group array that everyone will share. Party composition as well as creating our characters will also happen on session 0. Gameplay begins with session 1.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All players need to have a working mic and a stable internet connection. Webcam is not necessary but always appreciated (it's nice to see the faces of the people you're talking to). Everyone should have a basic understanding of the rules, of course they will be assisted if they don't remember something. Roll20 as well as Discord account are necessary. A Syrinscape account is needed as well.
What Ted brings to the table
I have a Pro account on Roll20, as well as all core rulebooks that I can share with my players.

How Ted creates a safe table
On Session 0 we will discuss the rulings we will follow (for example vote if we want flanking or not), introduce ourselves, decide on the party composition and go over the way the campaign works. We will roll for stats, but everyone will use the array we roll. If the rolls are bad we will go with point-buy/standard array for all. Players get a free feat at level 1. This game contains themes of obsession and stalking as well as madness. It uses the "X, N and O" cards as macro on Roll20. Players can expect a fast paced and rules light gaming experience.
