About the adventure
In the grim darkness of the 41st Millennium, the Imperium reels from Abaddon’s 13th Black Crusade. Yet beneath the galaxy’s surface, something older and fouler awakens—a warp-born anomaly whispered about only by the mad and the ancient. You are an infamous warband, bound by desperation and ambition, drawn into the orbit of Fabius Bile, the Primogenitor. Bile’s blasphemous dream is nothing less than transcending Chaos itself, creating a new breed of warriors with stolen gene-seed and unholy fleshcraft. To realize his design, he seeks the power of this ancient anomaly. Your mission: scour forgotten Imperial black sites, descend into Necron tombs, clash with rival warbands, and face grotesque xeno-horrors. Secure the anomaly’s secrets or be consumed by its corruption. The fate of your warband, Bile’s ambitions, and perhaps the galaxy itself hangs in the balance. Creating your character
We’ll create your character together before your first session, ensuring your warband role fits seamlessly into the story. I’ll guide you step-by-step through stats, equipment, and background using the Black Crusade ruleset (with community updates). No prior system knowledge is required—just bring your ideas, and we’ll forge your path into damnation.
Current warband: a Thousand Sons sorcerer, a human psyker who has bonded with an ancient power, an Iron Warrior warpsmith, a fallen Salamander, and a Plague Marine. Our Haemonculus is on long term leave from the game so we’re looking for a new renegade to bring their own dark ambitions to the table.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
All you’ll need is a working mic and the will to dive into the Long War. Video is optional, but what matters most is your voice, your choices, and your hunger for forbidden power.
What Tyler brings to the table
I’ll have Roll20 ready with custom maps, eerie ambient music, evocative handouts, and all compendiums needed. I also provide PDFs for those who need them—your focus can stay on scheming, fighting, and surviving the Warp.
Homebrew rules
We’ll use rules as written with official updates, but story trumps dice. If combat pacing drags, I’ll use quick rulings to keep the narrative brutal, fast, and fun. Cool player moments can overrule bad rolls when it fits the tale.
