"Welcome to the Andela region, trainers! Whether you're from Kanto, Johto, Paldea, or anywhere else, we happily welcome new faces! I know for some of you it might be scary, journeying to a new region with only a freshly hatched pal, but professor Spruce says that until we can determine which species will and won't properly adjust to moving to a new region, its just safer this way. Once you get off the boat don't let Tinsel Towns small size fool you. Andela's city life is brimming with excitement! From the contest hall in Dazzlestone, to the casino in Brick-break, to the megaplex shopping district in Rodrock, there's something for everyone here! And of course make sure to pay a visit to GenCo's office building in Galvatica. After all they are Andela's leading company in pokemon-related pharmaceuticals. If you're looking to take on the gym challenge however then you best study up on our regions natural phenomena; Harmonial Convergence! Thanks to the harmony pokemon, Hamorumi, we have gained access to a type of crystal that allows you to temporarily gain the abilities of a strongly bonded pokemon. Luckily for you, a pokemon you raised from an egg is the perfect candidate, as its trainer is typically the first person it ever interacts with. It goes without saying of course that our region is flush with many different species of pokemon, some even what we thought to be regional-exclusive variants before! Maybe you'll even get to see Champion Rena herself! Although nobody has seen her in the last year. Strange... But either way, explore to your hearts content, and welcome to Andela!" -Cherry Andela is not your typical pokemon game. Yes there is a gym challenge and a main story, however the gym challenge is tiered rather than linear, so players can complete each tier in whatever order they would like. The game is open world but higher tier poke shops will only sell higher tier items once you have completed the previous gym challenge tier. This allows players to still go around the region and hit up all the fun side stuff like contest halls and casinos without the risk of them getting super strong items early and blowing past the whole game. The enemies you face will adapt the more you face them. While Andela is a poke'mon world this is not a game designed for kids. There are real themes present such as physical abuse, depression, emotional abuse, love, drugs, and other such topics, though I want to stress that they are not the focus of the game. This is a pokemon game for people who want a bit more realistic outlook on the world, just with fun creatures to play through it.
