Character creation
Creating your character

Depends on the player, and what's happening. I have tons of PC's premade, so that's always an option. Generally speaking if you want to make your own character, make it prior to game start, and I'll make sure it looks good to go.

The current party

This is a custom modular campaign that will have plenty of exploration, combat and base building. Survival mechanics will be in play!

What to expect
Preparing for the session

So webcam is preferable, but not necessary. Mic, well, that's pretty obvious eh? Yeah, you need one. I can use zoom or discord. I can teach you the rules fast and simple, but having an idea of how things work is of course, always helpful.

What Josh brings to the table

I do character voices well, I have access to numerous VTT's if that's your style but I prefer theatre of mind. I am not a rules lawyer, and I try to rule of cool it as much as is reasonable. I like to talk to my players and organize my time around what they're into, even if we're playing pre done adventures I like to keep it flexible and fun. Ultimately, I wanna make this work for YOU!

Safety
How Josh creates a safe table

As a general rule I start every session letting people know this is a place where they're going to be respected. I like to talk to my players and see what they're looking for, and also what they'd like to avoid. After each session I like to talk about what people enjoyed, and what they didn't, and make sure, if there were interpersonal conflict that we resolve it before the next session if possible. I also advise my players that they can call for a stop at any time, and we can talk about what's going on if it makes them feel uncomfortable, and move forward in a way that everybody can have fun.
