Curse of Strahd
Under storm clouds, a lone figure stands silhouetted against the ancient walls of Castle Ravenloft. Can you survive vampire Count Strahd von Zarovich?
About the adventure
Curse of Strahd is a game revolving around the evil Count Strahd von Zarovich. In his endless cycle of depravity and cursed existence, he's lured unknowing adventurers to his plane of dread: Barovia. This is a pre-generated 5e module that is rooted in horror, suspense, and thrilling storytelling as players fight back against this omnipresent threat. A looming darkness that threatens to snuff the life of the players at any moment unless they keep their wits about them. Will you overcome the evil count and escape Barovia? Or will your souls be trapped here for eternity, suffering in this realm of dread?
Meet the Game Master
About me
Hello! I’m glad you’re here. I’m Morgan – a professional DM, passionate gamer, and lover of all things that positively nurture the human experience. With over 15 years of dnd experience, I’ve helped players from all walks of life learn to express themselves through stories while having fun and building connections. My background in acting, creative writing, public speaking, and human development is evidenced by the imaginative, creative co-operative game I build with you. Message me and let's get started! The collaborative elements of telling a nuanced, creative, and personal story together with others has been the drive and focus of my games ever since I started DMing. My games have heavy focus on narrative expression, inter-personal relationships, and personalized player experience as opposed to the shoe-horn style of making players fit into specific boxes to fit the campaign. Why not build a campaign around the players than have players build around the campaign? Though there is a level of nostalgia with pre-made modules, my love for the game really shines in world building and homebrew. I've been homebrewing my game worlds since I began DMing. It is truly where I, and my players, flourish.

Morrganical is an exceptionally witty, creative, and engaging GM who runs an immersive game with all of Foundry's ever-improving, frequently updated, enhanced audio and visual features. Role-playing is encouraged and supported, and combat is expertly handled and vividly narrated. They are highly experienced and enthusiastic; I wholeheartedly and unreservedly recommend Morrganical’s game sessions.
Review update after nearly 50 sessions & 2 private custom games: Morrganical is awesome, personable DM for campaigns, one shots, those new and old to D&D, and those never touched a VTT. A great blend of narrative story telling where your backstory is incorporated, following cool ideas are encouraged, and NPCs have voices and flavor of their own. AND YET! The satisfying strategic crunch of the game is not forgotten and scheduling and above table issues are handled with reasonable, affable, and professional grace. Is willing to continue the game to a good narrative stopping point in one shots as well which is important to me. Basically if you book or play with Morrganical I don't think you will be disappointed! Review after one session: Only have done a session zero so far but really impressed with the commitment to help the players build their story, their character, and tie the characters to each other and the world. Felt incredibly supportive, safe, and had great communication. A safe bet for any beginner or players who feel a little self conscious with questions or pages of backstory. I’m excited to play in a world we all collaborated in toward a character centered story/adventure!
Wow, I can hardly express how wonderful my experience with Morgan as DM was. This was my first DnD game as a player, and I was pretty nervous and thought I would feel awkward, but the whole experience was perfect, comfortable, and easy. If you want a really good first impression of DnD, Morgan is the Dungeon Master for you. Of course, having the players we had helped with the seamless game but still all thanks to DM Morgan.
Character creation
Creating your character
Characters will begin at level 1 and will progress to level 10/11 by the end of the module. Character creation can happen prior to the game start, or can also be part of session 0. I have extensive knowledge of 5e and am happy to help work with players to build the character that they envision.
What to expect
Preparing for the session
Players will need a microphone, and decent internet connectivity as we will be using foundry VTT. (YOU DO NOT NEED TO BUY FOUNDRY, YOU ONLY NEED A WEB-BROWSWER) Preferred player preparation: If players can have a D&D beyond account (Free, not paid) that would be ideal. Though it is not a necessity.
What Morrganical brings to the table
I will have the foundry virtual tabletop, handouts, maps, music, character tokens, and all resources necessary for characters to interact, play, and advance through the game.

During session 0, we will discuss our lines and veils. Players are not expected to know or identify every trigger that may arise for them. I am available by private messaging at ANY time to discuss comfortability of content as well. However, the session 0 will be the session where we try to flesh out as much of our lines and veils as possible while understanding that the nature of TTRPGs is fluid and things may arise mid game. If such an event were to happen, its understood that players can speak up publicly or privately and that retcons may come into play to ensure social, emotional, and mental health remains in good spirit.
