Legendary Champions of Theros [Heroic Ancient Greece-style Campaign] (Beginner friendly!)
Theros has been shifting during these decades, some think that the Age of Heroes is nearly at an end. Oracle's signs show the coming of a new era.
About the adventure
The Gods' tempers flare 💥 Heroic destinies lie within reach 🛡️ Fate whispers and watches 🔮 The gaze of fate has landed on the fantastical plane of Theros, a land full of mythical beasts, heroic deeds, and unpredictable Gods on the hunt for adventurers worthy of the call of glory. All manner of monster and creature have begun to grow restless in their homes, threatening the safety of the people of Theros who are unable to save themselves. The power of belief sustains the Gods, who in turn protect the humans in their charge, but their power is waning - some unseen force forcing its way through the delicate tapestry of Fate. The people and the Gods of Theros search for a champion to deliver them from this force and drive the monstrous threats from the land once and for all. Theros is a campaign setting themed around Ancient Greece brought to us by Magic: The Gathering. This will be a level 1 to level 14 adventure based within this setting. Earn the favor of the Gods and command their power as your own as you wade through creature and conspiracy and unmask the culprit behind the calamity within Theros... Meet the Game Master
About me
Hey all and welcome into my cozy, dank little cavern in this corner of the internet. ABOUT ME: After graduating high school, I spent 6 years in the US Military before transitioning into writing and GMing full time. I've always held a love of literature and acting in my heart and have attended various workshops all over the world. In TTRPGs, I've finally found an outlet for my desires to both write and act. Most of my games and sessions are played out in such a way as to highlight these skills, and creativity and improv opportunities can be expected every week! Typically, I encourage players to try and bend the rules - it brings a layer of storytelling that makes each and every game unique. However, there is a difference between bending rules and breaking them (e.g. we can fudge how long your Fly spell lasts, but you can't just try to cast it out of nowhere). As far as combat goes, I am a fan of well-paced roleplay sessions that lead to a cinematic fight; usually this is done of ratios of 2-4 roleplay sessions for each large-scale, cinematic combat. There's a place for every chosen background, every class, every feature to shine in these combats and I love being able to "tee up" a session that highlights PCs strengths (or weaknesses) in fights.

Kenzie is an amazing DM. Very helpful getting everyone started and working through the session zero and helping people get their characters started and fitting into the world. Very good and motivating and keeping the pace that the entire group wants to move at through different scenes. We sometime spend more time because that is where we as players want to be. Adds in customized pieces that fit the overall story. Loving the world she has built so far within Theros and ready to explore more of it. Very well organized both during game play and outside when getting things set up. Highly recommended.
Put simply, Kenzie is a fantastic GM that makes it feel as though you and your party are experiencing a fully-realized world that's filled to the brim with varied NPCs and fascinating plot hooks around every corner. No matter what sort of player you are, you'll find something you like in her campaigns: epic combat, emotional RP, and intriguing mysteries abound. RP is highly encouraged with a wide cast of one-off and recurring NPCs, all differently voiced, and complete with unique personalities for the party to get along with, or bump heads against. From the bookish librarian, to the suave sea captain and the stalwart city watch commander, every character has a story that can be explored, leading into more information for your quest or providing you with side activities to help the NPCs you have connected with. Combat is amazing, featuring diverse encounters that will challenge all types of PCs while not being impossible to overcome. Boss fights can become tooth-and-nail battles for survival with intelligent enemies and monsters that will make you use every resource at your disposal to triumph. Combats all feature beautiful and interesting maps that mix up the play style in every fight, and atmospherically perfect music that sets the mood for any given moment. I absolutely recommend that you give one of Kenzie's games a try, whether you are a complete beginner or have been playing for years, her games offer an incredible experience for anyone looking to play DnD with a highly professional GM.
Kenzie is great at fleshing out the world and can easily introduce the party to areas full of mystery and wonder. She does a great job with NPCs and tries to give each one of them a place in the world. Incredible voices as well! ----- An update to my review about a year later now that I have more experience with TTRPGs and table etiquette. The vibes during the games were generally friendly and welcoming. But sadly our campaign ended rather abruptly after she sent us a questionnaire and one question asked if we were enjoying the story of the campaign so far, to which we unanimously said yes. Apparently she didn't agree and ended our campaign after sending us an essay on why she didn't want to run games for our group anymore instead of just talking to players about any problematic behavior that should be amended. Looking back, there were a lot of gripes that I should have had but didn't because it was my first campaign ever. We spent upwards of 3 months worth of sessions (1 game a week), going through arena events, which really dragged on. It wasn't the most fun attending a paid for game to watch other people get a spotlight for their events, but I told myself that I'd get my chance as the last arena competitor. But then when it came to the last couple events, the arena was interrupted by a BEG, so some of us didn't even get to participate in the big event we've been waiting for. Another thing was that we had filled out an RPG consent checklist, to which I marked spiders as yellow, if not red outright. And I made it very, very, clear that I have arachnophobia, but minor stuff like a tiny spider or whatever was fine to include. So to be hit with three separate instances of spider encounters, one of which was Arasta from the Theros book. We played on a VTT, so the token for her was there, but I just zoomed out. Not long after her appearance, we were displayed the incredibly grotesque image of her from the setting book pretty much full screen. There are other minor gripes I had, but in the end, I still had a lot of fun in the campaign I was in. Though the way it ended put a real sour taste in my mouth for paid games.
She is a great gm that has a great dedication to the storytelling of the world, and of the player's involved! Provides an amazing space for creativity, with fun and challenging encounters that don't revolve around just combat mechanics! Ensures that the player's choices matter, and the effect in the world is felt!
