I’m hosting a seminar where you get to learn the D&D 5e system, how to create a character, safety tools, how to roleplay vs rollplay, combat and encounters, and game table etiquette. A pair of DMs with over 50 years of running experience between us. Seeking adventurers for laughs, thrills, cheap chuckles and all the puns you can handle. 1: What is D&D: We will discuss the history and nature of D&D. 2: Safety tools and communication: What are safety tools, how to use them, what to do in case of problems. 3: What are these dice thingies anyways: What are the different polyhedral dice used in D&D and why? 4: How to create a character: A step by step guide to your first character. • Finding Inspiration • Races • Classes • Backgrounds • What do all these numbers mean anyways 5: What are encounters: social vs combat encounters. Engagement and turn order. • Roleplaying (taking on the character) • Rollplaying (using the dice and maximizing) • Dungeoneering (how to survive traps) 6: Do’s and Don'ts of the Game Table: Some general rules of thumb to help you have a good time.
