About me

Hi there! I'm Adam! But you already know that having rolled high on your Perception, well done. I got into TTRPGs the usual way, D&D 5e. And, after realising that there are other (better?) systems out there, fell down the rabbit hole of RPGs. Several years later, and here I am. I'm into game systems that are fairly open and rules-light, and that have a darker feel to them - Mörk Bork, Symbaroum, Into the Odd, OSE/Dolmenwood, Alien RPG and the like. But I also appreciate more structured systems, like PF2e or Lancer. The games I run, tend to lean into gritty realism, dark fantasy, low magic, horror/weirdness... Player Character death is very likely in the games, I'm all for heroic fantasy - but the risks are very real, and the option to run away is always on the table. No risk, no reward! I try to give a narrative to my games that helps players contribute to the story-telling - at best, RPGs are co-operative story-telling games where everyone is contributing, as they like, to create a cool experience for everyone else. I use Foundry VTT, and Discord for voice chat; usually creating my own maps/scenes, and using various tools to try and create an immersive experience. Note that I do also use some AI generated images for tokens.

Mörk Borg

The world is dying and the end is nigh... Mörk Borg is a rules-lite NSR TTRPG, that uses D20 system that is player-facing: players roll to attack/defend/attempt anything. This is not heroic fantasy, PCs will likely die (and often) in horrific and humorous ways - good thing character creation is easy! Probably better suited to one-shots, or shorter campaigns, this game is quick and easy to get into. The aesthetic might not be to everyones tastes, but that's OK - there are many, many hacks and flavours of Mörk Borg out there!

Calvin is a creative and entertaining GM - he does a great job of integrating PCs into the world, making connections that feel like they matter. NPCs and enemies are engaging, combat encounters are challenging, and you can expect some surprising twists and fun reveals along the way that will keep the adventure feeling dynamic and unique. Highly recommended!

Fun introduction to the Alien RPG system, not too rules focused and allowed us players to still have a fun story-telling experience with the cinematic scenario he ran.
