About Jacek
I believe that written text conveys only a small fraction of who I am and for sure it doesn't convey character as well as a short video clip does. So I recorded a small "hi" video for you - https://youtu.be/BjBTNa-oBvY Hi — I'm Jacek (he/him), your new Game Master! Whether you’re seeking eldritch mysteries, gritty horror, or cozy investigation, I’m here to guide you through compelling stories with heart and tension. I started my adventure in mid 90s when I ran my first games - AD&D 2e and Call of Cthulhu and basically became forever GM as this is what I enjoy most about roleplaying. Despite being in the hobby for some time now I always try to improve my games - not by revolutions but by small steps. I most enjoy and regularly run Call of Cthulhu, Delta Green and Dragonbane. I got a dog called Migo, I love getting lost during long hikes in the woods and enjoy long distance trail running. I used to run actual play show where I did record my sessions. Those are in Polish but you can turn on autotranslate for subtitles and get a general feeling how do I run my games. Some of them include real life table recordings, some of them have talking heads from online plays and some are audio only. You can see it here: https://www.youtube.com/@61012

I got started GMing...
when I first got a hold on Star Wars d6 core book which I quickly sold to get fifth edition of the greatest roleplaying game - Call of Cthulhu.
My favorite system of all Time is

When I'm not running games I'm...
composing music, running and trying to be a great dad.
How Jacek runs games
I enjoy stories where mystery, tension, and meaningful choices drive the narrative. I won’t kill a character just for shock value — but in a horror setting, a well-timed death can give the story real weight. Player input is encouraged: describe details, suggest twists, help shape the world. We build the story together. Expect emotional moments, unexpected turns, and chances for every character to shine. I follow a player-first philosophy—rules exist to support the story, not limit it. My games emphasize investigation, character development, and immersion over endless combat, aiming for a balanced experience with enough structure to stay clear yet flexible enough to keep things fast, fun, and meaningful. Above all, I strive to create a safe, respectful space where everyone participates, stays engaged, and respects each other’s boundaries. When Covid hit and kids became part of my life I embraced running games online though I treat VTT as an utility not a gadget to show off fancy stuff. Thus for me VTT is mainly a platform for character sheets, dice rolling, handouts, having some music in the background and maps when necessary. I would rather drop all automation those tools provide than bee bogged down trying to figure out how things work or don't. I do appreciate when things look nice but I would rather spend time reading another adventure then setting up some fancy stuff.

Jacek's ideal table
I value players who come to the table with purpose and curiosity — not just to pass the time. I enjoy when players add their own details to the world and build meaningful interactions with others. Respect is key at my table — everyone deserves space to speak, and we listen without interrupting. I love deep, in-character roleplay, but there’s always room for laughter. It’s a game, after all. Even in horror sessions, we don’t have to be dead serious all the time — a well-timed joke can make the scares hit even harder.
