About me
Hey there, fellow adventurers! I'm just your friendly neighborhood Game Master, Cake! I must admit, I'm a bit of a mythology & science fiction nerd, and that passion tends to spill over into my games, even if I haven't seen all the shows out there. But hey, that's what makes it fun, right? I've been at this for a while, tinkering with Dungeons and Dragons 5th edition and exploring the mysteries of Call of Cthulhu. And you know what? The more I delve into these worlds, the more I realize how much there still is to learn. It's been a fantastic journey of growth and discovery. Creating adventures and weaving tales is something that's always fascinated me since I was a kid. Over the years, I've put together some handcrafted campaigns and ventured into the realms of revised Wizards of the Coast modules. It's been a blast! I see the GM's roll as someone who sets the table with a great setting, beautiful maps, & impactful music all while the players truly bring the story to life. I just love seeing people come together, roll some dice, and have a great time in the worlds I help create. My goal is to make sure everyone feels welcome and included, no matter their experience level or background. So, let's embark on some thrilling escapades together, where we'll share laughs, face challenges, and maybe even stumble upon a few surprises along the way. I can't wait to see what kind of stories we'll co-create and the memories we'll make as we journey through our humble little corner of the gaming world. Vin was an incredible GM who brought a lot of flavor to the world & to the NPCs. They also let us be creative & really just play around in the world. Vin was also great at letting us RP with each other while still moving the story forward. It was a great world & I wish I could spend more time living in it with the other players I was with. Oh also, Vin's use & knowledge of Foundry was fantastic & they were very patient with the ones of us who din't know much about the site.

Talented GM who ran the oneshot we played very well & kept us all on task while letting us be creative. Anya's session was also very fun because even though we finished at the right time, I felt like time flew by at her table.
Alastair Doherty
Hello all! I’ve been lucky enough to have Alastair as my GM for over a year now in our in-person Dragonlance game, plus a bunch of one-shots. He’s an incredible GM who really cares about the player characters and the stories we tell. He makes sure choices matter, and those consequences always keep us talking and theory crafting on non-game days. Every table I’ve been at with him, whether he’s running the game or playing, always feels inclusive, warm, and ready for fun. When he mentioned giving StartPlaying a shot, I couldn’t have said “yes” faster. Alastair is going to be an amazing addition to the StartPlaying GM team, and I can’t wait to hear all the stories he’ll get to tell with you all. Have a blast!

Eratheon was an incredible GM & really helped make my first game in Daggerheart really fun & wanting more. His mic set up is good, his knowledge of the rules, patience with our group all learning together, great music tracks, & imagery was all fantastic. Definitely a great GM for oneshots & I imagine his campaigns are a joy as well.

My game with Lethio was my first ever time with Foundry & he made it as easy as possible for me to get into the game. Thanks for a great time & letting me stick to being blind in the Underdark!
