About Vincent
Hello there! My name is Vincent, and the two little gargoyles behind me are Bobby and Smaug, my warlock familiars. I started playing Dungeons & Dragons in university with my featherless friends and it quickly became our favorite hobby, so much so that I've been running official and homebrew campaigns for us ever since. And because I'm always eager to play and meet new characters and experience new stories, I would be thrilled to GM for You, intrepid adventurer!🧝🏽🏹 I even wrote my master's thesis about the positive impact TTRPGs have on social and creative skills as a potential form of group therapy. A session a week is good for the brain! 🧠🧙

I became a GM because
someone had to step up and learn how to run a game so that my friends and I could play. Turns out I love to run games.
My favorite books are
All the works of Ursula K. Le Guin and Iain M. Banks, but really anything sci-fi and fantasy I'll sink my teeth into. My high school years were just a blur spent in the world of The Wheel of Time.
When I'm not running games I'm...
drawing maps and fantasizing about the games I want to run.
How Vincent runs games
I always aim to tailor my campaigns and adventures to my players and their characters. I love working with personal goals and backstories, and creating challenges and rewards that make the party feel accomplished and heroic. My favorite part of roleplaying games are your characters, seeing their quirks, goals, and decision-making in action. I love how these games are about cooperation between the players and a collaboration with the game master in order to create a unique and memorable story for everyone involved. Everyone is welcome at my table, and I want it to be a safe place for unwinding and to experience a world of adventure and fantasy!🌈

My games focus on...
player agency and emergent storytelling through our collaboration.
Rules are...
to be expanded, not abolished.
When it comes to voices
I do very immersive goblin death screams.
Vincent's ideal table
I often run tables for new players who are just getting into the hobby, so my parties are always very patient and welcoming. My players support each other and brainstorm together when facing challenges. They are also always very helpful when it comes to technical and mechanical stuff, too, and overall it is always the high point of our days playing together.

If you're into ___, you're going to love my table
tactical dungeon crawls
I love it when a player
describes scenarios in greater detail, or roleplays as their character unprompted by NPCs or the narration. It elevates the immersion and the involvement of everyone.
I think min/maxing...
is fine, let players have their fun as long as it's not to the detriment of others' enjoyment.
