About me

I’ve been around TTRPGs for a long time, long enough to remember when “finding a group” meant bulletin boards, not Discord servers. I’ve spent plenty of time on both sides of the screen, and I love diving into new systems and bringing friends along for the adventure. As a player, I tend to land in D&D most often. What I enjoy most is roleplay‑driven storytelling, backed by a good balance of combat and exploration. I’m not at my best in sessions where most of the time is spent shopping, crafting, or handling minutiae that can be easily handled out of session. I’m flexible about party roles and like to switch up my character types from one campaign to the next. I really value tables where players can make in‑character decisions that aren’t perfectly optimized, as long as they support the story and don’t derail the game. I avoid groups where players police each other’s character choices or try to control how others should play.

Shane

Played 87 sessions

Shane is one of the best game masters that I have ever played with, and he has mastered running the game on line. He makes every session meaningful with lots of run for character growth. I definitely felt that the actions of our characters were making an impact on the world, regardless of the level we were at. I can't recommend Shane highly enough for anyone who is looking for a new GM.

I met Andy during a Cthulhu in a Castle weekend event, a multi-day, non-stop event where we played through an epic campaign in 3 days. For us it was Masks of Nyarlathotep. We only had one hiccup. A major snow storm was pushing coming, and we had to drop the last day from the event. Instead of cutting our game time short, they extended the time on Friday and Saturday, and while I’m not sure what the total time, I suspect it was close to 28 hours of playing over the 2 days. Andy was amazing the entire time. He never slowed down. We were on the edge of our seats so many times I lost track. He used his voice to define characters, set the stage and tone for each scene, and to keep us engaged for the entire time. I never felt rushed to get through a scene, nor did I feel like we missed opportunities to explore and experience the world. He kept the game running smoothly throughout and allowed us to experience the highs and lows of the campaign module. This was a module that often takes years for groups to complete. The amount of information that a GM has to keep on hand can be overwhelming. Andy seldom had to refer to his note, having almost everything ready off the top of his head, and the level of detail was amazing without massive lore dumps. The information flowed organically as we explored the world. I would definitely recommend Andy to anyone who truly wants to experience an immersive role-playing experience.

Daniel has such a fantastic world that he shares with us. It's so easy to get lost in each game session. He has a song for everything.
