D&D 5E is incredibly customizable and I've found it easy to get into, both as a player and a game master. Different groups have had different ways of running 5E, so it's always a fresh experience. I have seen it run in person, by voice sessions, by text sessions, and play-by-post throughout the week; in all of these it has been extremely fun and customizable. I would definitely recommend it as there is a version for everyone!

Semper is incredible! I'm in a play-by-post game of his, and he is incredibly responsive. He matches your pace as a player, though I'd say he's better with players who are fast, because he is a fast writer. I've never done a live voice game with him, but with his speed, I'm sure he's great with his voice games as well, able to improv on the fly. I started in a group game, then moved to a duet when the group fell apart due to some players have IRL. We continued the narrative though! He and I are both excited for the twist that is coming with my character; he's got something planned, I can tell! His NPCs are super varied and responsive--from wholesome friends to cruel and cold enemies--and he has his own twist on the worlds he runs (in this case, Shadow of the Dragon Queen). He can appeal to a player who is very specific about the lore, or one who is very loose in the lore (and is willing to adjust for his players).

A great GM for many reasons. Dave is a whizz with FoundryVTT. He also takes into account various rules of cool with a mixture of realism (IE accounting for my character being four-legged and her endurance during travel). His Heroic Array makes you powerful, allows for you to build as you wish. And if you think it'll make everything easy, you're mistaken! He knows how to give a challenge to his players. His NPCs are realistic, his storytelling is fantastic. He doesn't do voices but I personally prefer it when GMs don't do voices, because I am hard of hearing. He has great music, great humor, and he's super inclusive. He is a person who understands and cares about neurodivergent people, as well as LGBTQIA+. There are some things that might be a turn off for people; for one thing, in Age of Worms, the maps are blurry. But this is for nostalgia's sake, so that you can see it as it was back in the day. Overall, he's a great GM and a great friend to his players. If you want a sample of his gming in fact, go check out his YouTube series, see if he's the GM for you. I'm going to expand this eventually because there's just so much I can say about this wonderful GM. I've known onyx for a long time; we've been RP buddies for ages! Onyx can do many things. In fact, anything you want, usually, be it a classic fantasy game, science fiction, horror. If it fits in her schedule, she can do voice or live text, and she can also do play-by-post, at your speed. She is creative, she's great at worldbuilding and at making realistic NPCs who react realistically. Shes amazing at painting a picture with words. Give Onyx's games a try! Ben knows a lot and when he doesn't know a setting, he does his research. He has a huge passion and drive for his games and the settings they are in. He gets excited and enthusiastic about the game, and he'll always make sure you know when he's updated the game. His NPCs are really unique, and with the world, how they intertwine tells a story.
