Fantastic Daggerheart Session with Wendel! (Highly Recommended) Wendel ran an absolutely stellar 'Learn to Play' session for Daggerheart that was engaging, informative, and most importantly, genuinely fun. Right from the start, the session felt professionally managed. Wendel utilised Roll20 effectively for dynamic digital battlemaps and great background music, setting a wonderful atmosphere for the fantasy setting. His preparation was top-notch. We were provided with pregenerated character sheets, and Wendel took the time to talk thoroughly through every aspect of them, ensuring everyone was comfortable with their character's abilities before the action started. He broke down the core Daggerheart mechanics—such as the Hope and Fear dice—in a way that was easy to grasp, turning the learning process into a seamless part of the adventure. The pacing was excellent; despite teaching the rules, the session never dragged. Wendel did a marvellous job of ensuring everyone got time in the spotlight, making us all feel like impactful heroes. If you're looking to dip your toes into the world of Daggerheart or simply want a GM who is prepared, communicative, and creates a welcoming table, Wendel is your GM. I would absolutely play with him again!

I played a one-shot hosted by Al, during which he took time to explain the basics of Adventurer's League which was new to me. Delivery and pacing was good, VTT was DnDB Maps which was new to me. Overall a solid DM who runs good fun games.

A calm and experienced GM who has led several games that I participated in. Likes to try new systems, offers free sessions and welcomes beginners.

I played in a one-shot hosted by this GM and have to say I was very impressed. They describe themselves as a 'relatively new' GM yet I found them to be very capable indeed. The naration is calm and measured, easy to understand and descriptive without giving away spoliers or steering the party. Speaking with the other players after a fantastic session in which 6 hours passed without any of us getting bored, we all agreed the GM was amongst the best we haave encountered on StartPlaying. Recommended.

A GM who gives players the space to act out their ideas. Good use of VTT and atmospheric music. Happy to take questions and be corrected. Inclusive and safe. Good engagement in advance of sessions via Discord, and you get the details you need to create a character that fits the game. A nice person to spend time with.
