I adore Sam and their games. They have built such a wonderful community of players, and at the risk of sounding overly sentimental, I have truly met some of the best people and so many dear friends because of Sam. They are a magnet for inclusive, kind, and funny people, and I feel so lucky to have stumbled into one of their games. They've changed my life?? If you're looking for an amazing game AND amazing people, Sam is the person to play with. They're an excellent DM and an even better friend. I will forever be thankful to Sam for the immaculate vibes they have carefully and lovingly created :) Sam's games are so creative and fun, and they work to help each character have a robust story arc and get time to shine. They also include so many cool magical items in their stories and encourage folks to toy around with home-brew ideas. 1000/10 for collaborative storytelling magic!
I would highly recommend Lilly's games to anyone interested in RP-centered campaigns. Her unique and immersive approach to GMing gives players the chance to engage in text-based RP opportunities throughout the week, and in doing so, she creates a strong sense of community between her players. I wish more GMs would do this! Lilly goes above and beyond to give everyone a chance to explore whatever story threads they’re called toward, and as a player, that level of agency feels so refreshing and exciting. To help folks keep track of their stories, Lilly has crafted numerous aids to help players visualize their bonds and connections with NPCs in the game, and as a neurodivergent player, I am so thankful for these resources. With this said, I do wish for more consistency with game start times and communication. Sometimes, games will begin 45 minutes to an hour late without any notice, and it's a little discombobulating. More updates would be so helpful to prevent confusion and anxiety.
As a GM, Luna is amazing in every way. I’ve been lucky enough to play in multiple of her one shots, and I am beyond excited to play in a longer campaign with her now. She is so creative, generous, and collaborative with her world building and story development, and she works to make sure everyone’s character has a chance to share the spotlight. Playing with Luna feels like dynamic, collaborative storytelling at its finest. From session zero alone, it’s easy to see how much time and care Luna pours into her sessions. Her session zero was truly the best and most comprehensive session zero I’ve ever attended. In addition to asking us more general starting questions (like lines and veils etc.), Luna invited all of us to share our hopes for our characters, media that inspires us as storytellers and TTRPG players, examples of tone and specific types of quests that would feel fulfilling and fun for us as players, and more. I feel so lucky to tell stories with Luna. She’s the best!
Mike is absolutely wonderful through and through. As a GM, he’s welcoming and supportive, and he helps everyone at the table feel at ease. I’m a bit shy and anxious, and while that has been a big barrier to playing D&D for me in the past, Mike has made me and everyone in our group feel comfortable enough to be silly and to just have fun. I highly recommend joining his games! He’s a delight, and I feel lucky to have found such a kind person to play with.
