I've been skeptical of playing high-level games online (much prefer in person) but Sergio is a maestro when it comes to pacing Tier 4 DND games. He balanced combat so it felt challenging while letting us shine with those high-level spells. His maps are creative. He knows the rules but will also let the rule of cool shine through in the right moment. All in all, he is the best DND DM I found on StartPlayingGames. A bonus that high-quality players seem to keep returning to him so you know there won't be issues with the DM or players ruining anything. 10 out of 10 recommend.
Victor's "Learn to Play Blades in the Dark" was a great introduction to the system. He spent time explaining the world and character creation for the first ~45 minutes. It was a great lesson. The session (around ~120 minutes) was perfectly paced with educational moments. 10 out of 10 would play with him again now that I learned the system.
Sebastian is a GM who knows the rules and sets up difficult, straightforward combats. Come to his high-level one-shots for a chance to build that build you always wanted to play and have a chance to show off all your goodies. Great, long combats with lots of chances to swing and hit big.
Byrne is a simple but impactful keeper. She focuses on world-building and character development and allows the players a chance to shine. It felt very casual and friendly, which is great, because a lot of StartPlaying game masters are very sterile. Her narration voice is smooth and slow and that allows for the tone and vibe to be set perfectly for a Monster of the Week campaign. Byrne had great pace and storytelling. Definitely recommend to anyone looking for a thoughtful MOTW campaign.
