Mark has been an incredible Game Master who consistently goes above and beyond to bring stories to life. I’ve had the pleasure of playing several different systems with him including Dungeon Crawl Classics and D&D 5e, and no matter the setting or format, he delivers a rich, immersive experience every time. What truly sets Mark apart is his flexibility and dedication. He’s been extremely accommodating of my hectic work schedule, even going so far as to open up one-shots just so I could jump in and play while we looked for other players. Whether it’s a play-by-post scene, a fast-paced one-shot, or a long-form campaign, Mark brings the same level of care, creativity, and narrative depth to every session. I’ve played multiple characters under his guidance, and he’s helped breathe life into each one with thoughtful worldbuilding, meaningful interactions, and memorable NPCs. His games are the kind you look forward to all week. Highly recommended for anyone who values storytelling, flexibility, and a DM who truly cares about the players and the world he builds.
I’ve only had the chance to play with this DM through play-by-post, but it has been one of the most immersive and rewarding experiences I’ve had in D&D. From the very beginning, he’s fostered a game that is rich in tone, atmosphere, and creativity and it’s clear how much passion he brings to the world he’s building. The pacing of the play-by-post has been remarkably smooth, and his writing has a way of making even the smallest interactions feel vivid and cinematic.
I’ve had the pleasure of playing under DM Slosh, and I can honestly say it’s one of the most rewarding roleplaying experiences I’ve had. Slosh deeply values character development, creating space for players to explore their backstories, personal goals, and internal conflicts in ways that feel natural and impactful. Every interaction feels like it matters because Slosh gives your character the chance to matter. What really sets Slosh apart is how they embrace downtime and crafting. Whether your character brews, carves, writes, or just needs time to think, Slosh gives weight to those moments. The world doesn’t just pause for combat—it evolves with your creativity and presence. If you’re a player who thrives on narrative depth, meaningful choices, and a world that breathes with your character’s story, DM Slosh is the kind of storyteller who will make every session feel like it was written just for you.
I just want to take a moment to say how much I’ve truly enjoyed the Old Margrove campaign so far, it’s honestly one of my favorite games I’ve ever played. The worldbuilding has been immersive, rich, and eerie in all the right ways. Every session feels like peeling back a new layer of some ancient, living mystery. Whether we’re facing bramble beasts, negotiating with fey emissaries, or navigating twisting ruins, there’s always something fresh and unexpected around the corner. One of the standout strengths of this campaign is the atmosphere the DM creates. The use of thematic music really elevates the mood sometimes I don’t even realize how tense or enchanted I’ve become until the music shifts and everything clicks. And the NPC voices? Top-tier. Each one feels distinct and memorable. Truly grateful for the effort and creativity that’s gone into this. Can’t wait to see where the forest leads next!
