This has been an exciting campaign! I never felt compelled to try a SpellJammer game in the past, but I do love me some Shadowdark. Going outside my comfort zone, I was pleasantly surprised to find how much I’ve enjoyed the mash-up of the two – gritty, space dungeon crawling, with some gonzo action thrown in for good measure. What’s not to like?! Much of my enjoyment is also due to Jesse’s ability to keep the game flowing. He rolls with the punches and makes quick and fair rulings on the fly. He easily adapts to the unexpected twists that we’ve thrown his way. He adjusts the narrative beats to the players and gives them a chance to shine, which keeps the emerging story engaging and dynamic. Definitely recommend!

Manny is a maestro GM! I’ve recently had the opportunity to play a few sessions of ShadowDark with him as GM along with several of his other regular players. He deftly crafts a rich, immersive environment through storytelling and a host of voices (definitely a hidden talent), along with a great blend of humor and suspense. He easily adapts to unpredictable choices or actions, and seamlessly incorporates players’ ideas into the ongoing narrative. His sense of pacing both for roleplaying and combat is on point, which provides a rollercoaster of tension and excitement. He clearly enjoys seeing players collaborate and contribute to the story. I suspect he puts in a lot of work behind the scenes to make the sessions memorable. Highly recommended!

I recently had a chance to play a few sessions of SotDL with Kenny as a GM, and I can't say enough positive things about the experience. He went above and beyond to create an immersive and enjoyable gaming environment. He is a creative storyteller and has an engaging, adaptable approach. He was genuinely open to players’ ideas and encouraged everyone to participate. He actively communicated with us between games, helping us develop our characters, providing background information and fostering a sense of anticipation for the next session. I would highly recommend him as a GM.

Scott is a great GM! He hosted a couple LTP Shadowdark games for our group. He is laidback, friendly, and fun. He had an excellent grasp of the game and was able to answer everyone’s questions throughout the adventures, even though SD hasn’t released their full ruleset yet. He is a talented storyteller and scene-setter, and he definitely has a knack for improvisation. I would 10/10 sign up for more games with him, regardless of which system he is running.

Jono was friendly and outgoing and made people feel welcome. He explained the basic rules well and kept the session moving at just the right pace. I would definitely sign up for another game with him as GM.
