Definitely my favorite GM, and who got me to fall in love with Fabula Ultima. Absolutely delightful person, fantastic descriptions in game, atmosphere is always on point, and don't even get me started on the boss battles - always SO fun! (Thinking about our last boss, who had us scratching our heads figuring out its dumb [affectionate] riddles while Brayden tried to hold back laughter) I always look forward to Brayden's games, and you should too.
The good: A delightful person, fun dungeon design, listened to criticism well. The bad: (lots of text to explain, not because it's a LOT of bad) -No session 0 when joining an ongoing campaign, which meant we missed some very important steps including safety tools. This resulted in a pretty bad trigger for me in our first session, simply because it hadn't been discussed beforehand, and I hadn't realized it would be in the game. (I discussed with him after the session and that went fine, we had an understanding moving forward irt that, so I continued for another session). -A very unprofessional environment; other players in the game were not held to any expectations of table etiquette, two of which paid little attention to or didn't care for the game, it was like pulling teeth trying to get one to interact with the game. It felt fine for a group of friends playing and handwaiving poor behavior because they know each other, but not in a professional environment where players are paying money. While this is more of a reflection on the table itself, all poor table etiquette (not showing up to session with no notice, burping into mic, not muting during conversations with others irl, never paying attention to what was happening in game, etc) was waived off. I don't expect confrontation mid session or anything, but there was no "Please mute when [x]," or the like. So it just kept happening over and over. Alex promised to figure out a solution, so going forward this may improve. I did not stick around to find out, but please do keep in mind the good: he is a delightful person, gameplay was fun, and he listened to criticism.
